Overview
The Red Mountain Resort is Canada’s first ski resort tucked away in the Kootenay Rockies region of Southeastern British Columbia. Come ski or snowboard at this four-season destination resort located just two kilometers (5 miles) from downtown Rossland and 3 hours North of Spokane, WA.
During the winter Red Mountain Resort is a powder paradise; during the summer, Red is an ideal location for endless alpine adventures. An unbelievable big mountain with a small town ambiance. In addition to its quaint shops and friendly locals, this town is often referred to as "Canada’s Mountain Biking Capital."
There are direct flights from Vancouver International or Vernon Regional airports into Trail, a 35-minute drive from the resort. The Red Express bus service also shuttles in passengers from Spokane and Kelowna International airports as well as from the airports in Castlegar and Trail.
Far from the glamour of a Whistler resort, visitors will enjoy this quaint town with just steeps, trees and powder. Everything you need for great skiing or summer hiking. There are just 25 groomed runs. Everything else is wild and mostly in-bounds. It’s a bit of a trip to get to Red Mountain, but well worth the effort.
