The Outback Resort

Location. The Outback Resort is located on 60 acres of woodlands that rise along the shores of Okanagan Lake in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. This property is surrounded by golf and ski resorts that include the Predator Ridge Golf Resort, the Silver Star Mountain Ski Resort and the Big White Ski Resort.
Hotel Features. The Outback Resort consists of vacation homes tucked amid granite bluffs and ancient pine trees. Homes are constructed with heavy timber and quarried rock that blend harmoniously with the region's natural setting. Seasonal outdoor pools and hot tubs flank the lake and overlook the marina. A granite-hewn tunnel leads to the Quarry Bay's private beaches and picnic area. The resort sponsors the Kids Camp Program during July and August for children ages five through 12. Activities include beach and pool games, crafts, hikes, and interpretive games, plus "Survivor" and "The Amazing Race" challenges. Special programs that include wakeboarding, tubing, kayaking adventures and sailing are scheduled on select afternoons.

Guestrooms. The Outback Resort offers fully furnished two- and three- bedroom vacation homes designed to echo the area's natural landscape. Homes include full kitchens. Furnished decks feature barbecue grills. Accommodations include 32-inch plasma-screen televisions, DVD players and high-speed Internet access. Bathrooms contain deep bathtubs. Washers and dryers provide convenience.

Expert Tip. Boat rentals, guided lake cruises, wakeboarding, water skiing, and tubing rides are among the many recreational pastimes offered at the resort's marina. The floating docks and breakwaters are removed each winter to minimize impact on the environment.
