Anassa Hotel

Location.The Hotel Anassa is located in Polis, Cyprus, within 500 metres of its own private beach, three kilometres from Latchi and seven kilometres from the town centre.
Hotel Features. The hotel is built as a typical Greek village and overlooks the ocean. Contemporary in style, it offers two outdoor pools and a Roman-style thalassotherapy spa with indoor pool and treatments including retreats, detox programmes and beauty treatments. Other amenities include 24-hour room service, airport transfers (surcharge), express check-in and check-out and currency exchange.

The Anassa Hotel offers the main Helios restaurant which serves Mediterranean dishes, the Amphora serving a complimentary buffet breakfast and local dishes, and the candlelit Basiliko restaurant with contemporary national cuisine. There is also a poolside bar, lounge bar and a café.

An onsite Padi diving centre provides transfers to the Akamas marine reserve and offers classes. There is also a kids' club for children aged 4 to 11. Boats can be hired for self-drive trips, and there is jet skiing, parasailing, rafting, canoeing, snorkelling and windsurfing. Nearby activities include golf, horse riding, and scooter rentals.

Guestrooms.The 177 rooms, over three floors, have light decor, marble floors and louvered shutters. All include balconies, bathrobes, climate control, satellite television with pay movies, direct- dial telephones, dial-up Internet connections, minibars and wake-up calls.

Expert Tip. The picturesque port of Latchi is known throughout Cyprus for its fresh fish. Its old stone warehouses have been converted into restaurants and taverns, but the town retains its sleepy charm and the impact of tourism on it is negligible. While sampling the local fishy delights, don't forget to check out the wine, including Commandaria, a sweet dessert wine reputedly enjoyed by Richard the Lion Heart.
