Overview
Location. The Apart-Hotel Hammer is located in spa town of Bad Wildbad, Germany, in the province of Baden-Wuerttemberg. It is 500 metres from the Sommerberg cable car, 600 metres from the Palais Thermal, and 45 kilometres from Baden-Baden. It is also 500 metres from Bad Wildbad train station.
Hotel Features. Set in a mountain village, the Apart-Hotel Hammer is built in typical Alpine style overlooking gardens. Staff are multilingual, there is complimentary secure parking, and wireless Internet access is offered. The hotel is a smoke-free property.
A buffet-style breakfast is served each morning (surcharge).
Guestrooms. There are 19 guestrooms and apartments, built over two floors. All have bathrooms, and decor is homely and features pastel patterned soft furnishings, pastel carpets and pine furniture. Amenities include satellite television, complimentary wireless Internet access, telephones, and tea and coffee makers.
Expert Tip. Wildbad’s beautiful 19th- century Kurtheater closed in 1963 and fell into such a drastic state of disrepair it looked as if it might be fatal. It was saved by citizens’ group in 1999 that raised money to repair and restore it. The work is by no means complete, but it manages smaller afternoon performances with an originality and flavour that makes them well worth attending.
