- After travelling it was really good to arrive and be met by some smiles and good service. Checkin was quick and we were offered a welcome drink! Our room was small but was exactly what we wanted as a base. The bathroom was lovely .. a wetroom with a massive shower! It was kept clean and the room was always a welcome place after walking Barcelona! It was perfect to have as a base as it was close to everything but not right on top of the toursit area. We chose to be 5 mins away! The roof top bar was such a find from the welcome Cava to the beers we drank at then end of each day. The breakfast could not have been better. I dont know anyone who could not eat themselves full on that range of food! This is a great place and I cant wait to return thanks « less

- Hello! I've stayed in H10 Universitat this August (03-07 August). I spent four days in Barcelona with my wife.
After checking tripadvisor's reviews about several hotels located in the heart of Barcelona, I've decided for this one. It proved to be a great choice. As soon as we arrived, we were received with a glass of cava. We decided to take it in the hotel’s terrace. Nice little bar in the 8th floor, with comfortable sofas and a great view from Barcelona. Too bad they closed at 11 p.m. If not, we would definitely visit it again for a late drink before going to bed…
We stayed in room 505, a twin bed room. The room was spacious and with modern and nice furniture. The reviews I’ve read made me fear that the room would be small, but it wasn’t. The view from the window was not that good as we had a room in the back. But that’s not important.
Breakfast was impeccable. Service was perfect. Waiters were always attentive to our needs. There was plenty food to choose from: salads, several breads, croissants, pastries, cakes, fruit salad, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bacon, different types of sausages, ham, several types of cheese, coffee, juices, mineral water, champagne…and so on.
Hotel personnel were polite, nice and when asked for something they tried to help us.
Great choice if you want to discover Barcelona. 2/3 minutes easy walk from countless subway and bus lines, 4/5 minutes easy walk from Aerobus and main Tour Bus companies. And, of course, 4/5 minutes easy walk to the Ramblas, the heart of Barcelona.
I would certainly return to H10Universitat. « less

- Its really handy location the bus from the airport stops at Universitat metro stop which is only a few mins walk from hotel. Its only a few mins walk from Las Ramblas which is handy as there are loads of restaurants around there.
We chose the double basic room it was smaller than a standard room but we were happy with it .It suited us as we really only spent the night in the room and during the day we were busy site seeing. We liked the frosted glass of the bathroom door.
We arrived early at the hotel because we had a morning flight, check in isn't until 2 but the hotel let us use the luggage room and told us we could come back around half one to check in.
Also we got complimentary drinks on check in. If you become a fan of the hotel on facebook before you arrive you also get a free cocktail voucher to use in the bar and we also got 2 small chocolate brownies delieved to our room. so yummy : )
through out our stay the staff were really nice and helpful.
Breckfast was really delicious there was a nice choice of buffet. your bound to find something you like.
The ai con was so handy it was so hot when were there it was so nice to come back to a nice cool room and it was so quite you could leave it on all night without it bothering you. And the free wifi was a bonus.
all in all great stay and would definately go back « less

- This is far from my favourite hotel, and really has no hope of ever even making it into the top ten. My biggest complaints are with the rooms. I don't know if this applies to every room in the hotel, but the frosted glass bathroom doors that don't full close: a nightmare for me. This is stylistic decorating that I could live without. Furthermore I found the bed to be so hard and stiff that I might as well have been sleeping on the floor. I barely slept at all, so thankfully we only stayed for one night.
The service was friendly enough, and the location was, admittedly, very ideal. I would never stay here again, but I think, if possible, another hotel in the same area would be perfect. « less
