- The apartment we stayed in actually slept 4 people and although there were only two of us, it would have certainly been large enough for four. It was fully equipped with microwave, oven, crockery etc. and had a lovely little patisserie on the premises. Beds were comfortable and there was a beautiful balcony allowing for fantastic views of Serre Chevalier. With less than a 10 min walk to the slopes the location was fantastic. Would certainly recommend. « less

- Bijou & compact for 6 people, apartment was ideally situated both for shops & slopes.Storage space at a premium but managed ok. Separate ski locker on ground floor meant no carrying of skis up 3 flights of stairs. No beds made up on arrival but no challenge. Excellent snow conditions Pistes not all prepared overnight. Would suggest resort more suited to intermediates/experts as not many green runs for beginners althoigh 2 g'children coped very well with aide from user friendly ski school. « less

- The centre of Villeneuve in Serre Chevalier isn't exactly picturesque, but it's pleasant enough, and the Alpaga apartments were really comfortable and - for a group of three in a seven capacity apartment - spacious. I guess it would be a bit cramped for the full complement, but that applies to much self-catering accommodation in France. The staff were very friendly and helpful, as were all the people working and living around the resort, from the ski hire shop to the on-mountain restaurant staff. The nearby Sherpa supermarket is really good, and there are several bakeries close to hand as well, including right next door to the apartments. One word of caution: make sure you know where to get off if using the little train-bus that picks up outside the apartments, or you could find yourself on the wrong side of the resort (as we did on our first day). And one word of recommendation: the Ski Connections ski school in Villeneuve is first rate, with excellent English speaking instructors. « less

- Stayed here in March 2007 with a group of 7 including a couple, 3 girls and 2 guys. Unsurprisingly it was little cramped with one double room, 3 sofa beds and 2 bunks! Even so, the apartment came with 2 bathrooms and kitchen was superbly equipped. A five minute walk from the nearest gondola and about the same to the centre of Serre Chevalier. Tidy rooms with plenty of storage space even for our massive crowd - would definately stay with again but make sure you get the right crowd if you're going to cram 7 in! Was a little submarine-like after a while... Booked with First Choice package for just under £300 and was good value in my book... « less

- A great Christmas skiing holiday in all. Apartments are fairly roomy, we had a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor with a terrace, for four adults. The apartment was spotless and well maintained. The only odd thing was that you have to make your own beds on arrival! They do provide linen and towels. I understand you can pay extra to have them made up for you under a 'premium' package. We had a few nights of having to put up with noisy adolesents in the apartment above us, getting no sleep for 3 nights. We did complain to the management, but am not sure the situation was addressed. We wish we'd asked for a top floor apartment based on this. The Reception area is very well furnished and relaxing place, but some staff did not appear to speak much English. I would rate the accommodation as 3 or maybe 4 star at a push.
Location of the apartments - fantastic, right in the centre of the village. You can get a bus or walk anywhere from here. The local ski lift and school are a 5 minute walk away, but there is a free community bus (looks like a train!) to take you if needed. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops, pharmacies, ski hire shops in the immediate area. But be warned, the pharmacies charge high prices for anything!
Try having dinner in the old town, we tried a number of good restaurants - Le Petite Pont just over the bridge, and Le Frog on Christmas day was very good (even though they forgot our booking) but were accommodated regardless - the food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Serre Chevalier is a beautiful friendly ski resort, they have excellent facilities for all skiing fans. We would definately return to the apartments again, but just ask for a top floor apartment and I don't think you can go wrong.
