- I have been at the island of Santorini and more specifically at the village of Firostefani.
There is the Manos Small World.
The view is exceptional overlooking the cliff and the caldera.
The owner Thanassis was so helpful and willing to help that solved all our questions and queries.
At last the rooms were so spacious that I think is by far the best value for money comparing with other places at the island. « less

- My wife and I spent four nights at Manos Apartments in Firostefani overlooking the Caldera.
The rooms are large and comfortable, the bathroom a reasonable size and the views from the balcony are breath taking and it was a delightful way ending the day sitting with a glass of wine to watch the magical sunsets.
Breakfast on the balcony was served when you were ready and was always very nice. The free wifi worked well and was very much appreciated.
The service we received was second to none. Thanassis the owner and his staff went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after and all our needs were met. There is no pool but that would not put us off as we would rather go to the beach.
Our only disappointment was having to leave!!!
I highly recommend Manos Apartments. « less

"Manos small world" is about 10 minutes walk to Fira, the center of the island. I guarantee that walking the path from the BB to Fira is one of the most beautiful things to do on the island, the view is amazing and in every corner you want to stand and take pictures! Fira is a bit noisy and busy, whereas in Firostefani everything is much peaceful and quiet. Also, the tavern right up the stairs was one with the best food we tried in Santorini! The public parking and bus stop is right up the stairs as well.
Yes, the rooms are expensive (in Santorini it's pretty common!!), but we didn't have to go to any cafeteria/patisserie to seat and enjoy the view, because the most amazing view was right in front of our room! Before we went, we were a bit annoyed by the idea of sharing a balcony with the other rooms (of course each room has its own space at the front with your table for breakfast, but it is not separated by walls), it was no problem after all, just think that the possibility for your schedule to be exactly the same with your neighbour's is pretty small...
We also enjoyed the hospitality of the owner who was extremely discrete and polite, brought us breakfast whenever we woke up, a bit of local wine in the evening, gave us directions and made our stay very comfortable. Breakfast included bread, coffee/tea, juice, cheese toast and an extra plate that differed from times to times (i am not spoiling the surprises!). It also had yogurt and fruit, that we kept in the fridge and had it as a snack at the afternoon. We loooved having breakfast in our table, it was one of our favourite moments every day!!!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and definately choose Manos again whenever we go back to Santorini... « less

- We spend 3 unforgettable days at Manos Small World. Mr. Karamolegos was waiting for our arrival. The hotel/apt is set on the Caldera so we had to go down quite a bit of stairs. He carried down most of our luggage. That is the kind of attention you will receive there. The view of the sea and the volcano was breath taking. The room was clean, comfortable and included small fridge, dishes, glasses, etc. , extremely comfortable. We were served breakfast on the balcony every morning where we could enjoy the view. In the late afternoon or evening, Mr. Karamolegos would bring us fresh fruit or a cold Greek Frappe (this is a must have in Greece ,also their yogurt). You are also within walking distance from the towns . It is a beautiful walk. Do make it a point to visit the town of OIA at the northern end of the island. For Oia you will need transportation. « less
