Purchasing Reservations Online


Is it safe to reserve a room using the Resideo online system?
Yes. We have booked thousands of reservations and have many repeat customers. We work closely with each of the properties we feature on our site and are able to immediately guarantee your reservation as safely and securely as if you were making the reservation in person. All personal and credit card information is stored on our secure server and all transactions containing personal and credit card information are cryptographically protected to ensure your privacy. When is payment taken?
To guarantee your reservation and issue immediate confirmation either a deposit or full payment (depending on which hotel you book) will be charged to your card at the time of the booking. All costs and policies will be clearly detailed prior to charging your credit card.

How do I book a room?
Use our flexible search tools to locate a property. From the property page, click the 'Check Rates' button or scroll down to the check rates section of the page (usually below the photo gallery) and enter your dates and number of guests.

Selecting a room will take you to our secure, 1-step booking page where you can easily complete your reservation online or finish booking by phone.

After you submit your reservation request you will receive an automated courtesy email message confirming your purchase and providing you with a copy of your reservation itinerary. Please print and have this information available at check-in. Your reservation details are also available online from any Resideo affiliated website. Simply sign in to retrieve or make changes to your reservation information.

Can I arrange for special requests such as early or late check-in?
We provide an area for you to personalize your stay by telling us of any special needs or requests you might have. We forward the information you provide to the hotel when you purchase your reservation. We are, however, not able to guarantee that the hotel or property will be able to accommodate your special needs/requests.

Why is my credit card not being accepted?
Although credit card difficulty can be very frustrating, our security measures are in place to protect you. Here are several reasons you might be having trouble:

First, make sure all information has been entered just as it appears on your card.

Second, make sure the expiration date of your card does not fall before your travel dates and that your card will remain valid through the duration of your stay.

Third, check to see that your card has available credit equal to the total cost of your stay. While your card may not be charged for the total amount at the time of booking, available credit must be satisfactory to guarantee the booking.

Finally, check that the billing address you provided matches the one provided to your credit card company and the Card ID (CVV number) is correct.

What if there is no availability at the property I have chosen?
This does not always mean that there is no availability at the property. Our options menu is designed to help you locate available accommodations. If following the menu recommendations does not produce the results you want, please give our travel assistance team the opportunity to manually confirm availability for you. This service is free of charge and typically only takes several additional minutes.

What are my payment options?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover are accepted.

What is included in the Resideo price?
When comparing prices between sites, please note your on-screen transaction total includes all applicable taxes and fees. Incidental charges (such as room service or phone calls placed during your stay) are not included.



Changing and Cancelling Reservations


Can I make changes to a reservation?
Yes. We realize plans change and never want you to feel "stuck" with anything. Any change to a reservation made using Resideo must be made thru Resideo. Contacting the property directly will not update our system. NOTE: Changes will be governed by the policy set forth at the time the original reservation was made. You may be required to first cancel your existing reservation, thus forfeiting the rates quoted. A new room total will be generated at the time you re-book your reservation. In the event you do not have access to an Internet connected computer an agent can assist you over the telephone. Just give us a call toll free at (800) 370-9416.

Can I cancel a reservation?
Yes. You can cancel your reservation for any reason (or no reason at all) and receive a prompt, complete refund less any cancellation fees imposed by the hotel at the time the reservation was made. Just go through the easy self-service cancellation process (via My Account) or use the link in your confirmation email to cancel your reservation. Should you not have access to an Internet connected computer, an agent can assist you over the telephone. Just give us a call toll free at (800) 370-9416. NOTE: Contacting the property directly will not update our system and you may not get your refund.

How will I receive my refund?
Typically, refunds are issued immediately to the credit card used to purchase the reservation. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for the credit to post to your account. We reserve the right to issue payment in the form of a check, which will be mailed to you no later than thirty (30) days following the change.

If I change my reservation do I lose my deposit?
This depends upon the policies of the individual hotel or chain. Please check the cancellation and rate rules policies on our reservation form.



Payment and Deposit Information


What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept: Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.

When does my credit card get charged?
Your credit card is charged in accordance with the Payment details disclosed prior to purchase.

Are taxes included in the reservation price?
Yes. The burden of tax is included in the total cost of your reservation. NOTE: Actual taxes are calculated upon check-out and may be based on additional charges accrued during your stay, such as room service charges added to your final bill.

Are incidental charges included in the reservation price?
No. Incidental charges (such as telephone charges, mini-bar consumption, room service charges, etc.) are not included in the total cost. Properties will typically require an imprint of your credit card when you check-in to cover any incidental charges incurred during your stay.

Do I need to present my credit card upon check-in?
Most properties do require an imprint of your credit card imprint at check-in.

Am I paying any booking fees?
No. We do not charge a fee for using our service. We do earn commission for selling rooms; commission is figured into the nightly room rate. This is standard practice in the industry.

How can I be sure I receive value for my dollar?
You can always book with confidence at Resideo. We work hard to offer you rates that represent exceptional value, many times lower than the rates you would receive by contacting the property directly.

When comparing prices between sites it is important to note that your on-screen transaction total includes all applicable taxes and fees and that all of our inventory is of the highest quality.

Group Reservations and Event Planning


Can I reserve more than one room at a time?
Yes and no. You can book more than one room using our online system but to keep things organized (especially if you need to make changes) we ask that you book each room separately. You can book multiple rooms over the phone, too. Call us toll-free at (800) 370-9416. We will gladly assist you.

Can I arrange a meeting or event room at a property?
Sure. An event specialist will gladly assist you in planning and reserving the right space to suit your needs and make your event a success. Call our main office and we will be happy to help you. That number is (850) 747-8057.

Can I arrange a group event (such as ski club packages or special events groups) at a property?
Yes. Resideo is the perfect place to coordinate your group reservations. We will add a special link for your group where you can provide relevant event information and, at the same time, provide a central location where members of your group can book their reservation using your group's special rate.



Sending and Receiving Information Errors


Why am I unable to retrieve my information online?
The most common reasons are network firewalls and online security encryption. Firewall configurations often conflict with secure transactions and some web browsers do not support SSL encryption. Check the settings on your computer and upgrade to the most current version of your browser. You should be able to download the latest version from their respective website. If you are still having trouble, please contact us and we will gladly assist you. A Resideo technician will contact you within 24 hours. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a piece of information sent by our web server to your web browser. This text file helps our web server identify you and 'remembers' information so you don't have to enter it repeatedly. Cookies do not corrupt your computer settings or your hard-drive. You may choose not to accept cookies. You will still be able to use Resideo if you choose not to accept cookies. Password and User Name


How long will my reservation history be stored?
For your convenience, reservation history is stored on our secure server indefinitely. You will be able to access this information for a period of 24 months.

What do I do if I forgot my user name and/or password?
Click the Password Reminder link on the sign-in page. We will email your member information to you. If you need to reserve a room immediately call us at (800) Resideo.

Why would I be unable to retrieve my member information?
You must supply the email address that you used when you first signed up, as well as provide the answer to the security question. If you are unable to recall this information, please create a new profile.



Site Viewing Recommendations


Resideo.com is optimized for use with 4.x or higher browser versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. Additionally, we suggest that you view our site with 16-bit (high color) at a minimum of 800x600 resolution. Please note that variant settings or device types may effect presentation.

Our online reservation services as well as our online applications require browser versions that support SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology, frames and Javascript.

The use of alternative browsers or BETA versions may have unpredictable results.
