- Rooms were clean, quiet but pretty basic. It was 40+ centrigrade at the end of June and we were so pleased to have working airconditioning.
Reception staff were knowledgeable about Rome, were able to pass on tourists tips and were always willing to advise.
The attached restaurant and piano bar served tasty italian food and was surprisingly good value .
Breakfast was the typical italian array of cakes, pastries and cereals. Good coffee though.
There is a roof garden for sunbathing which has views over the city.
There's moden lifts and old, rickety wooden lifts ... never take the wooden ones unless you have a your own toolkit ;-)
We booked this hotel as a stop over for a couple of nights before getting a cruise. The priority was to be near Temrini railway station. The hotel is one block away from Termini - perfect. Central Rome is a 10-15 minute walk away along Nazionale. Rome isn't really a big city. We were amazed how many places we could walk to on the first night (kids aged 7 and 10). That turned in a pattern - walk, explore, jump on a bus back to Termini and the hotel. The hotel made a great base for exploring. « less

- Upon arrival at the termini station in Rome we only had to walk 5 minutes before arriving at the hotel. Like a lot of backstreet buildings in Rome, the Welcome Piriam isnt much to look at from the outside but we were pleasantly suprised with the interior. Reception staff were multilingual and helpful and directed us to the bar as our room was not yet ready. Bar area was very spacious and decorated with a "royal" theme with lots of red cushions, gold chairs etc. Drinks were very reasonably priced for Rome! (1euro for water, 2for coke and 6 for mixer/coke).
We were shown to our room and were again pleasantly suprised. The bedroom was a good size (about 12x14") with air con, wardrobe and dresser. Bathroom was small but included bday, shower, sink and toilet. Room was very clean but very basic.
Breakfast was continental buffet style with breads, cereal, doghnuts, tea, coffee, yougurts and a variety of juices.
The in hotel restauant uses the same room as the breakfast/lunch area and is a little overexpensive for the choice available and the food quality is only average. (I would recommend getting out to see any one of the hundreds of lovely places to eat and drink in the city!)
Be aware that the bar doesnt open sundays at all.
The location of the hotel was good, being practically next to the termini station and only 20-30 mins walk from all main attractions.
Only bugbear was that the aircon in the room could not be turned off which resulted in a struggle to sleep one night (the rest of the time we were too tired out from all the walking!)
If you want a cheap hotel in a good location to use as a base, this is one to go for. If you want a little but more class, you will have to pay for it. « less

- This hotel received mixed reviews, so i was a little bit concerned before our 3 night stay. However, i had absolutely nothing to worry about. The hotel itself was very clean , the room was tidy and made up every day. The staff were very helpful and friendly and couldn't have done more for us. Upon arrival , the two guys at reception discovered it was my wife's birthday, sang "happy birthday " to her and gave us a bottle of wine along with a complementary meal. These two guys had a great sense of humour which we really enjoyed.
The hotel is located 5 minutes walk form termini station, from which you access any area of Rome with various forms of public transport .
In conclusion, some people complained about the staff and the tidiness of the hotel, I think they must have stayed at a different hotel and got the names confused. « less

- We spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is a nice hotel actually with huge room and comfortable bed. From the moment we checked in this hotel we can feel that we are welcomed. The receptionist brought us to the room and gave us the tour about facilities in the room. The bathroom was quite small but they had shower, and bidet as well. This hotel nears the Termini station which is a good start to explore the city. However, it was quite difficult to find this hotel because they do not have big signage. They just write 'hotel' at the front door so you need to ask someone to get to this hotel. A useful tip to find this hotel in when you come from Termini station, go straight to the Termini bus station and cross the road in front of the bus station. Walk for about two blocks and you can see this hotel at the corner of the road. The breakfast was ok but limited choices of meals. They just had bread, cheese, bacon, pastry, cereal, fruit and yogurt. For us it was acceptable because it was included with the room. So we do not bother so much about the breakfast. Please beware when using the facilities in the room. They have flat screen tv in the room but you have to pay for the movies you watch. Internet cable was provided but you have to pay as well. The air condition was set to just 25c and you cannot adjust the temperature. This was quite annoyed for us because because the weather outside reaching 32c. If you wish to get cheap food, go to kebab shop and convenience store. If you're on the tight budget, do not eat near Termini. Walk a bit behind this hotel and it is worthy. Overall, I would recommended this hotel due the its location as well as huge room. « less

- Stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend. It is clean and very convenient - close to Stazione Termini and Via Nazionale so about 15-20 mins walk to central Rome with buses and Metro nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful, spoke very good English and able to book attractions, do online check-in etc. Rooms are clean, fairly basic but air con, en suite, mini bar etc.Breakfast average but adequate. « less
