When I was researching my vacation to Grand Cayman, I was looking for a resort that offered accommodations and dive packages. I chose Cobalt Coast because it was in the middle of the road for my price range. As the case usually is, I figured the service and experience would also be in the middle of the road. Let me tell you how wrong I was. Cobalt Coast is located on a serene and quiet beach on the North West side of the Island away from all the hustle and bustle of the tourists. It is a very nice resort with an incredible staff that will do whatever they can to accommodate you on your trip. The owner, Arie, is a very personable guy and is often working on site working to ensure everyone is happy and everything is running smoothly. The bartenders Richard and James are also great people willing and able to share whatever knowledge they have to help you along the way. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with a TV in the living room and bedroom and free Wi-Fi. The maids did an outstanding job keeping our room clean and picking up after our mess. We got the meal plan and also though that it would be mediocre at best. Another bad assumption. The food was superb with a fine dining taste in a tropical setting. As far as the diving with Dive Tech, which is the associated dive shop, there is nothing more they could have done to make our trip any better than what they did. Each dive was to the best possible site on North Wall or the North West side of the island in West Bay, depending on weather conditions and water currents. Before each dive they draw a 3D map of the site and give a detailed briefing on the site and what you can expect to see. The boat was roomy and comfortable and outfitted very well for diving. The staff at Dive Tech are very knowledgeable and have experience from all over the world. They were always willing and able the help with any equipment issues or anything else you may need. I have nothing but good things to say about Cobalt Coast and Dive Tech, but I will let you discover the rest for yourself. I have no doubt that this was the best choice for me and my girlfriend and I am sure it will be for you too. Good luck and enjoy your trip. « less
