- I booked 2 bedroom apartment and stayed there for 2 nights. Location is perfect and apartments are of big size and comfortable. Breakfast is superb besides the hotel has other restaurent also there are several good restaurents, authentic spa and super markets within 1 minute walk.
I almost always ask for higher floor, good view and smoking room and did the same here. Not being too happy with the view from my living room, I was upgraded to 3 bedrooms huge sized apartment without any fuss and that was the best apartment on smoking floors. At the same time I would mention that my booking was handled very well by reservation staff.
I would strongly recommend this hotel to fellow travellers for its location, sheer size of rooms and excellent staff.
Very rarely I find in any hotel as they do here that one of the receptionists comes to the main door to see you off.
Excellent. « less

- Slightly small bedroom with limited window
- Small electronic stove and old microwave
- No shoe rack
- Old TV in the bedroom and can't be rotated.
- Bad access to the gym (why is it through an emergency staircase?)
- Swimming pool settings looks old and not stylish.
additional:
- Breakfast and Spa place just okay. Nothing great
- No free shuttle to tourist attraction/malls or to the nearest BTS
- No monthly gathering for long term residences
Overall, I would not choose to stay in Marriot for long term. The only major thing I like about the place is only the rewards points. « less

- The Hotel is great we had a two bedroom apartment.
It was great and the A/C was fantastic.
NOW the Red Shirts messed up our time in Bangkok!!!
The night we got in to Bangkok was the night they killed 21 people oh about four blocks from the hotel and shot our vacation all to hell. The whole City is messed up. They are everywhere.
So Staying in the Hotel ALOT was what we did. There is a grocery store just out side of the building. So we needed to want for nothing.
The beds are great baths are fantastic and the living room wonderful. Just like having a apartment in any large City.
I would stay there in a heartbeat again... Just NO RED Shirts. « less

- We rented a 2 bedroom apartment there for 4 nights. The front desk staff was real nice. The kids enjoyed the pool (but it was not real warm even though it was 100F out - probably because it is covered) and the fruit smoothies & pizza served there. We had smoothies every night without incident (yet the bar lady was not real friendly). The breakfast for 3 mornings was pretty decent too. The cereal selection was not good but nice omelets were made by request as were fresh waffles. My husband did think his allergies kicked up while we were there - perhaps due to older carpets but I did not notice (and I was taking Zyrtec). We did have an issue once or twice with the shower temperature staying consistently hot (2 showers should not run at the same time). The washer and dryer were nice but not easy to work upon the first use. The hotel is nicely located near Lumpini Park and the Suan Lum Night Market (10 min walk). The Night Market was great fun for the kids. Also there are two Italian Restaurants nearyby (one is across the street). Both were good. I had no issues with cleanliness or sleep quality. We were on the 23rd floor so that may have cut down on the noise. The skyline views from the pool and our room were very pretty. A market is right next door for groceries supposedly but we never went in. « less

- My parents, my husband, my son and I went to Bangkok during Chinese New Year. The hotel was fantastic. We lived in a 2-bedroom suite which was spacious, more than 100 square meter by impression. It was very clean and comfortable. The location was convenient as we could walk from city centre by 10 minutes. The roof pool was big enough and the water was warm and salty. There were two jacuzzi, one was hot and the other was cool. There was some problem with the washer-dryer in our room. However, the staffs were very helpful. They helped us to dry our clothes when we checked out. The slippers were comfortable but we got only two pairs of them during the 5 days stay. « less
