Alaska's North Country Castle Bed and Breakfast

Nestled in the secluded foothills of the Chugach Mountains, Alaska’s North Country Castle Bed and Breakfast is located 10 miles south of downtown Anchorage, Alaska. The Alaska Zoo and the Anchorage Golf Course are within four miles of the bed and breakfast. Chugach State Park, which offers mountain and oceanfront hiking, is approximately six miles from the property.

Treetops, mountains and the Cook Inlet dominate the surrounding views from this Victorian inn’s four elevated decks. Full, complimentary breakfasts are served daily. The bed and breakfast’s living area contains a fireplace, piano and library with books about Alaska. The property grounds feature winding moose paths. Laundry facilities are available. A common refrigerator is provided for guests’ use. Pets are not allowed at this property.
Guestrooms at Alaska’s North Country Castle B&B are decorated in natural tones, and feature wooden furniture and decorative pillows. Sitting areas feature vaulted ceilings and bay windows with expansive views of the mountains and ocean. All rooms include access to private decks. Private bathrooms with bathrobes are included. The Chugach View Suite, occupying its own wing, includes two bedrooms that share one bathroom, and a sitting area with a balcony overlooking the guest living room.

Expert Tip. Maybelle, a local moose, can sometimes be seen leading one or two babies through the grasses to graze near the outdoor decks. She doesn’t mind being watched, but it is recommended that spectators keep the railings between themselves and Maybelle, as she is a protective mother.
