- This was our fifth time to stay at Cibola Vista. We are not time share owners but stay here as renters. Although it does not have a restaurant on location, it is only 1 mile to great local and chain restaurants that are also kid friendly. There is a Super Target and other retail stores within that mile radius. You can easily navigate to/from the interstate.
When making the reservation we had requested a certain room. We were pleased that they accomodated that request. The room was clean. The carpet needed to be cleaned but not bad enough to make it an issue. There were minor maintenenace issues, light bulbs, that were handled immediately when requested. Since we were renters, housekeeping did come every morning and make up the room. The rooms are very tastefully decorated. I compared our rate here to a Hampton Inn near Sun City Grand. It was a very comparable price. The benefit of Cibola Vista is a far superior room, a magnificent pool, and beautiful views of the mountains. It is located in a new and upscale area. If you are visitng family in the Sun City, Glendale, or Peoria areas, I would definitely recommend staying here. You've read the good, my only negative comments would be that the common sidewalk areas should be pristine and needed to be power washed. Also, they should be swept clean several times daily which didn't seem to happen. The common area plants and pots need attention and mulch or rock added. « less

- I read all the reviews, especially the bad ones, so was a little skeptical, if not hypervigilant during my stay. I have to say that my concerns were unwarranted - we had a beautiful time, from the front desk to the housekeepers, the pool side employees to the spa personnel. Each one was gracious and welcoming. The room was very clean, well-appointed & everything was in working order. The environment was safe, quiet & clean, perfect for a family with young children. We loved the beautiful pool areas, gym & even though we didn't go horseback riding, the visit to the corral was a fun sightseeing addition, We also enjoyed morning the sunrise yoga class on the lawn.
The only downfall I can think of is that there is not yet a restaurant on the premises, but we had a large selection of choices close-by. « less

- I recently stayed at Cibola Vista with my husband and daughter. Check in was busy, we arrived at 5pm along with every other guest it seemed. Customter service at the front desk was great, we had a smooth check in. We stayed in a Master suite, the room was absolutley beautiful! Full kitchen, bar, dinning are, living room with a balcony, jaccuzzi tub AND walk in shower, plenty of room for our daughter to play and explore. The pool is amazing, we went down that evening after we unpacked. The pool is salt water, I liked that, no chemicals. When we returned back to our room we had a voicemail from the front desk, "just calling to see if we needed anything". We were impressed. The next day we went out for breakfast and the room was cleaned while we were out. No housekeeping issues. We ordered food from the cafe' and ate at the pool. Everything was great! We had an amazing stay and the property was beautiful, we plan to go back soon and we have already reccomended Cibola Vista to our friends. Its a great staycation for the family and underpriced for how big and beautiful the rooms are. « less

- We were leary after all the reviews, but had no problems. We had an early flight and showed up at 11:30AM to find our room was ready and the staff very pleasant. We were on timeshare points, so not sure if that makes a difference. We opted for a studio since we don't stay in the room much. Had a great balcony over the pool (which was huge, had a great water slide, very clean and plenty of seating) , full kitchen as you walk in and around the corner bedroom with table, chairs and bathroom off to the side. More spacious than what we were expecting. They had a packet of info on area attractions ready for us. When we refused the owner update they were very nice about it, unlike what we have experienced at Mountain Loft.
We plan on going back for spring training. My only complaints would be; I hate king beds that don't have fitted sheets, they could use additional umbrellas at the pool and a small box of laundry detergent for one load, which used to be complimentary, was $2.50 in the office. All in all well maintained grounds, facilities and rooms. « less

- As myself, my partner and mother and other family members checked into our rooms we were delighted to see the designs, ambiance and luxury which is created for vacationers. Fortunately, my sister & here family as well as my aunt & her families rooms were clean and up to par. HOWEVER, our room was not. The dishes were dirty, will remaining food residue and lipstick on a glass from another user was put into the cabinets. That was the first thing. The second thing was when we pulled the bedding back to make sure we had clean sheets, there were pubic hair and tracks of dirt; 2nd down. So we called the front office to ask for a change - because they were booked and short on staff we didn't get new sheets and the dishes remained dirty for another couple hours.
We decided to take a stroll while the clean-up was done. As we visited the pool we noticed how the many families enjoyed themselves so we tried to shrug off the disgust in our room and ignore the fact that our visit started on a bad note. As we visited the remaining rooms of our other family members we look excitedly and talked about how the weekend would play out considering it was 4th of July weekend. We planned steaks, burgers, a dip in the pool and other fun family games.
As the night came to an end, my mother was getting tired so we headed back to our room to call it a night. Because we got the Jr. Suite w/Kitchen; myself and my partner took the room with the bed in it and my mother being more comfortable on the couch decided she would sleep there. So we opened the extra blanket and pillow which was offered and handed it to her, only to notice it too was filthy...I had enough and called the office immediately to ask for a refund. They simply denied my money and refused to bring new blankets immediately because it was what they said, "Very Late & all their staff went home". I felt deceived and vowed NEVER TO STAY at CIBOLA VISTA, AGAIN. By the way...they ended up bringing new blankets 2 hours later. Which of course - made the situation insult to injury. I'm In DISGUST WITH THIS PLACE! « less
