Location. The Spanish-style Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort is set amid 27 acres of landscaped grounds in Phoenix, Ariz. This resort stands at the foot of the Phoenix Mountain Park.
Hotel Features. This mountainside retreat affords panoramic views and includes a replica of an old Western town that is available for group events. Dining options include the Hole in the Wall, serving cowboy-style cuisine in a 1940s renovated ranch house. Slim Pickin's features casual poolside dining at the River Ranch water park. La Cabana serves Slim Pickin's fare at the main outdoor pool. The River Ranch is a four-acre water park that boasts the Slippery Rock slide and a one-half mile Lazy River. The resort offers an 18-hole putting course and four Plexipaved, lighted tennis courts. The TocaSierra Spa and Salon offers a range of body and beauty treatments, including body wraps, facials and manicures. The adjoining fitness center houses a lap pool and cardiovascular and weight-training equipment. Pilates classes are offered for a fee. Coyote Camp offers swimming, art projects, and cooking and cultural classes for children ages four to 12. Reservations are required.

Guestrooms. The Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort offers 563 suites in two four-story buildings with exterior corridors. Accommodations feature warm, earth-tone color schemes and gilt-framed art. Casitas provide kitchenettes. Hilton Serenity Beds feature pillowtop mattresses, down duvets and hypoallergenic feather/down pillows. All accommodations include coffeemakers. High-speed Internet access is available for a fee.

Expert Tip. The resort's Fun Coordinators schedule activities including Bingo, scavenger hunts and watermelon-eating contests. Seasonal Dive Into Movies are complimentary and are shown from late May through late August at the outdoor pool.
