My husband and I live in Tempe, only about 20 minutes from this resort, but it felt like we were a million miles away. This resort is so beautiful, as soon as you walk on the property you instinctively take a deep breathe and relax. We had one of the alvadora spa rooms and it was beautiful. I was amazed at the tiny details that they made special like organic coffee in the rooms and bottles of water with turndown. Every piece of furniture, painting, even the coffee condiment box in the room were obviously carefully thought about and perfect for the decor and ambiance. The staff where wonderful and friendly. We had breakfast at T Cooks, the eggs benedict and the biscuits and gravy and everything was fantastic. It was a wonderful escape from everyday life. With two toddlers we don't get away like this often and this was the perfect night off. I would absolutely go here again, hopefully for longer next time. « less

Our recent stay experience at this historical setting proved the spirit lives on. We felt like celebrities (from the amazing food at T. Cook’s restaurant to the housekeeper’s turndown service) because every staff member really took ownership to enhance our experience. It’s authenticity and impeccable service confirms why this resort wins so many awards.

If you want the royal treatment with an intimate atmosphere that blends into the base of the famous Camelback Mountain, we highly recommend this elegant resort. It’s a dream come true! « less

My husband and wanted to get away and work on baby #4 so I was looking for just the right get away. I read a few reviews about the Royal Palms that were very negative and I came so close to going elsewhere and I am soooooo thankful I gave this place a chance. I was looking for anything negative to see if I agreed with the reviews (I really value other opinions) and I could not find anything in three days.

You must stay here it is like no other hotel. I got a good deal going on Perfect Escapes. com and Saturday's price was suppose to be a little higher than Friday night so I thought I would wing it and go elsewhere if I ended up not liking the place. The desk far exceeded my expectations and offered me the same casita (which was suppose to be occupied for Saturday but they made other arrangements for the next party) on Saturday for the same price as Friday's. I didn't even ask for it and they just went out of their way to just make our experience wonderful.

The food was excellent and VERY fair priced unlike some other 5 star resorts we stay at. My husband even said, " I really enjoy eating at a resort knowing I'm not getting ripped off just because I'm staying here."

Every area of the hotel service gets a A+ from me. The grounds and feel of the place is so romantic and can't wait to go back for my birthday. « less

I have never experienced a more exceptional stay at a resort than the one at the Royal Palms. This was my 3rd visit in 3 years and consistently, each time, truly exceptional. Every aspect of my experience, from the service to the resort offerings were absolutely perfect! The staff is dialed in at every level. Everyone can enjoy this resort. While there are many enormous resorts in the area with lots of ways to help you spend your money, the Royal Palms is much more concerned about YOU and your comfort and experience and will remember you by name, by room number and what your preferences are. Above all, the staff at the pool, the housekeepers, the valet service and T Cook's staff, every associate you come in contact with is anticipating your next need. Incredible. Not to mention this intimate historical property is exquisite and the attention to detail cannot be matched at any of the larger resorts in the area. Value to the experience is a 10! Do not overlook this experience when staying in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. It's close to everything you need, if you must leave the resort for anything. Concierge team can arrange anything for you. A must stay, in my discriminating book. « less
