- Ok, the only slight negative point is that the hotel is really off the beaten pass. BUT - Fountain Hills is a nice upscale and most importantly quiet neighborhood. The hotel rooms are large, they all have a fireplace and boats gorgeous views. I stayed here with my gf who lives in Scottsdale and normally escapes to the Boulder Resort and she found the Copperwynd to be at least in the same league. Ok, I am picky, so one little complaint - please get some new lounge chairs at the pools. The current plastic chairs ruin the image a little bit - get some teak or wicker ones. Still, I will come back. Of course - I wanna see some new lunge chairs! « less

The location, the amenities, the staff, and the room were all worthy of a 5 star rating. No surprises here- just perfection. The restaurant and spa were also top-notch- we just have no negatives to report! « less

- I can't imagine a better place to stay near Phoenix/Scottsdale if you like smaller, elegant resorts (translate: quieter in all ways!) and without the glitz, yet sophisticated. Every public and private room at this place is lovely. Quiet abounds. Where else can you walk out your hotel room door and take a morning hike into the desert? The resort grounds are designed with obvious consideration for the guests using them. Two large pools: one a "Quiet Zone"/Laps pool, the other for adults with kids (bar and casual cafe at that pool; with wait service on weekends to the Quiet Pool.) Little touches meant a lot to us:The Quiet pool has a hidden lawn area with lounge chair waiting for someone wanting complete privacy; a hot tub, set in yet another private area (no young kids allowed-EXCELLENT.) The landscaping is beautiful desert style. The dining patios take in the expansive mountain views. The food? We ate every meal here over our four day stay because is WAS great.The wait personnel, the front desk personnel, and supervising management obviously take their jobs seriously, yet are down to earth folks, going out of their way to ask if everything is to your liking, while being willing to share a story or joke, or listen to yours. Last but not least, any hotel room here is first rate, and has a great view, each with deck or patio, table and chairs. No room noise issues at all. And to reassure everyone: we had/have NO personal or business connection with Copperwynd. And, 15 minutes to Scottsdale ~ « less

- Once again, we took our eight most valuable clients from around the U.S. to Copperwynd for a day-and-a-half conference and some relaxation with their spouses. There wasn't a single misstep. Staff, rooms, facilities, and food in this small and luxurious hideaway met our fussiest expectations, surrounded by the views of spectacular Arizona January landscape from every unit. We have been in at least 50 4-star venues in the U.S.. We have simply never seen a better place for a small but very upscale business meeting. « less

If you have any problems with reservations then they turn their back on you and blame the guest. Corporations should beware of their contracts and the Resort couldn't care less about their guests once they paid « less
