Overview
Location. Built in 1933, the historic Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica, Calif., is known as a former celebrity hideaway during the days of early Hollywood. During prohibition, the Art Deco hotel housed a popular speakeasy and is now rumored to be haunted by certain unearthly guests. The hotel is opposite Palisades Park, across the street from Santa Monica Beach and two blocks from the famed Santa Monica Pier. Legendary shopping on Rodeo Drive is eight miles and Hollywood is 12 miles.
Hotel Features. The lobby features a faux fireplace and Victorian chair rails. The oceanfront dining venue, De Veranda, prepares California-style cuisine during breakfast and lunch hours.. De Veranda bar serves imported beers, fine California wines and cocktails, along with the hotel's signature Art Deco martini, the Georgini. A fitness room is available 24 hours a day.
