The Little Red Ski Haus is located in downtown Aspen, Colo., three blocks from the Wheeler Opera House and one-half mile from the gondola. Shuttles to Snowmass Village, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk Ski Resort, and restaurants and shops are also one-half mile away. The Aspen Art Museum is less than one mile from the inn.
This historic, red Victorian home, built in 1888, welcomes guests in the original tiled foyer, which leads to the arched wood staircase with a hand-carved banister. Off the foyer is the library check-in room, featuring the original wood floors, built-in rustic shelves, a partner’s desk and welcome table with complimentary beverages. Complimentary, home-style breakfasts, featuring Angelic Bananas, Honeybee Ambrosia and breakfast pizza, are served each morning in the Prospector’s Cellar. The Victorian perennial garden offers seating for breakfast or drinks. In the evening, the Prospector’s Cellar serves spirits and fine wines at the curved, handcrafted bar with copper panels and at mesquite dining tables. This room also features a three-way fireplace and a private spot called Whiskey Corner, which offers two wing-back chairs and a leather sofa. A wide-screen television with a VCR/DVD player is available for meetings, retreats and entertainment. Fax and photocopy services, a computer and complimentary wireless Internet access are available. The music room and reading room offer an antique upright piano, overstuffed chairs, Victorian furnishings and a crystal chandelier. The parlor features a down sofa that faces a hand-carved Victorian fireplace, complemented by built-in shelves. An outdoor hot tub and deck offer views of the Independence Pass of Smuggler Mountain.

Guestrooms feature private bathrooms with specially milled soaps and thick towels, antique furnishings, cable television with VCR/DVD players and phone lines with complimentary high-speed Internet access. Each room is named after area landmarks, ski runs or famous people in Aspen’s history. Select rooms feature poster beds, iron beds, hand-made coverlets, sofa beds, jetted tubs or steam showers. Additional features include octagonal windows, vaulted ceilings, antique armoires or access to the outdoor deck. The three-room Victorian suite combines three units, and features a private, spiral staircase entry.
