- This was the first experience we had with an Omni hotel. We spent the first 3 nights of our vacation in Colorado Springs at a Crowne Plaza and had a very bad experience. As we approached the Omni we were concerned that it was in a large (but spread out) corporate center and relatively close to a mall (albeit very nice mall). However, all concerns vanished when we were greeted kindly at the front door and subsequently received courteous, professional service by the registration clerk. The hotel lobby is beautiful and the hotel has numerous high end amenities all of which were explained to us during the registration process. We greatly enjoyed the pool area which contains two separate outdoor pools (one heated and one not), gas firepits (which 2 families used to make s'mores), a whirpool, and a bar. Attached to the pool area is a good sized fitness center. The spa was on the lower level, on the way to the pool area. My daughter and I used the spa for pedicures and the staff were extremely personable and the experience was relaxing.
Given the positive experience we had we weren't in any way surprised that there were a number of couples/families from the local area who were staying at the Omni just to be pampered and to enjoy a couple nights away from home.
We booked through the Omni website rather than a discount website because the Omni website offered numerous discount options. We chose the "pay for 3 nights, get the 4th night free" which also included free breakfast in one of the restaurants if an adult breakfast was purchased along with other unique extras. In addition, we received a preferred status (perhaps because of the number of nights we stayed -- 6 in total) that included free internet access (otherwise a cost of $10/day), in room cookies and milk the first night and a morning newspaper. The room was clean and sufficient for our family.
The room and bathroom were clean. The beds were turned down each night which allowed the staff to reassess towel and toiletries needs. We would have preferred a larger bathroom but what we had was sufficient. We also would have liked a balcony for my husband and I to have escaped to in the morning and at night when the kids (ages 11 and 9) were sleeping but the balconies appear to be limited to a few upper end suites. The proximity to the mall and its restaurants came in handy the nights we were at the hotel -- had I been a business traveler I would have also appreciated this. On Friday and Saturday evenings they have a popcorn and movie night in the pool area that was attended by just the right number of guests --- families and couples alike. All children were well behaved and attended to.
The hotel is in a developing area between Denver and Boulder. It is very convenient to both cities but feels more like a relaxing suburb. You can see the foothills and mountains in the distance and can get to Boulder, Denver or Golden in about 15-30 minutes.
I have stayed in numerous business / convention center hotels. This was one that catered to business travelers, conference attendees and families alike. Well done, Omni! « less

- Highly recommend this hotel. Due to changes in my husband job situation we weren't able to take a trip for our anniversary but we did want to do something that was special. We chose the Omni Interlocken hotel in Broomfield, CO because it had a nice Romantic night package and was close to the restaurant we wanted to go to. The staff was exceptional and made our celebration very special. We had a mountain view suite and enjoyed the view while eating our room service breakfast that was included in the package. Love that the hotel and staff is so welcoming and not pretentious. The pool was refreshing with the sound of water gently falling over the rocks nearby. We were pleasantly surprised by the little extras the hotel provided to make our 20th Anniversary special. « less

- We (myself and our 3 children) travelled with my husband to Colorado. While he worked, we enjoyed the Omni Interlocken. It is in Broomfield, which is between Denver and Boulder -- probably 20 minutes each way. There's not much in Broomfield for tourist attractions, but plenty in Denver. The room had 2 very comfortable king size beds and we easily put a cot in the room for our 3rd child. Breakfast in the Meritage restaurant downstairs was delicious. The staff at the front desk and around the pool were super nice and extremely helpful. The fitness room was very nice and I wish I had a chance to take advantage of the spa -- looked great. There was a shuttle that would take you to shopping and restaurants (tons) in the area.
Just a note for people look for gluten free restaurants. Although the restaurant ran out of gluten free bagels while we were there, the restaurant and staff seemed very aware of GF needs. « less

- We did not find any luxury places to stay between Broomfield and Loveland, and per reviews of the area, the Omni seemed the closest choice.
The reception staff were very warm and hospitable. The room is your average mid level hotel with non descript amenities. Other reviews are correct that "resort" is not an accurate description. We paid extra for a view room, but the majority of the view is the parking lot, construction etc...with the mountains in the distant, so not necessary to upgrade. The bed was comfortable ...always a plus.
Gym large enough, but the one TV didn't work and the cardio equipment is not equiped with your own TV, which is standard at most hotels where we stay. The two pools are a bonus, what would be nice is to make one the "quiet" pool or adults only. We thought this hotel, because of the area it's in, would attract mostly business travelers, but there were lots of children at the pool, so don't expect a peaceful afternoon of catching up on your reading or leisurely taking a dip in the pool. We liked having bar service at the pool. (pool servers friendly, pool receptionist the first day was too busy flirting with a guest to answer questions or hand out towels..needs to learn to multi task.)
A big plus was that the pool is open 24 hours, so it was fun swimming at 1 - 2 AM. We also liked the fire pit and enjoyed a beer with other friendly guests. ...nice pub at the hotel as well.
The place was fine, positives out weigh the negatives and not sure if there are really many other choices in the area. « less

- I have stayed at the Omni several times for business. It is generally good, clean, easy to get to and a reasonable location for many of business activities. My last stay was interrupted by 2 late night fire alarms. False alarms. Not good after a long return from Spain. The manager was apologetic and put out coffee and bagels for breakfast.
Nothing special but nothing bad about the hotel. « less
