Location. The Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colo., is across the street from the Convention Center. Located one block from the 16th Street Mall and Denver Pavilions, this high-rise hotel soars 37 stories above the Mile High City. Denver International Airport is 23 miles from the property.
Hotel Features. This contemporary, atrium-style hotel features a 6,700-square-foot fitness facility complete with cardio-theater, indoor lap pool, hot tub, sundeck and spa treatment rooms. For a day of shopping, complimentary shuttle service is available to the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall. Business-friendly amenities include conference rooms, wireless Internet access throughout the hotel, a business center, and an on-site car rental desk. Dining options include Altitude, serving American and continental cuisine with a display kitchen, outdoor seating, and contemporary Colorado stone and marble décor. There is good and bad with the Hyatt Regency Convention Center. First the good. It was centrally located to the 16th and the Convention Center. Great food and bars within stumbling, er, walking distance. The BEST part of the Hyatt was Chris at the lobby bar. He was awesome. And the rest of the staff were friendly and personable.

Now, the bad (and there is so much!) As others have said, the parking is HORRIBLY expensive. To give you an idea, there are lots next door that charge 1/2 of what the Hyatt charges. HALF! $12 compared to $28 for valet. I paid $75 a night for a room but the parking was increased our room rate to over $100 a night.

Internet access cost $10 a day and there was no free WiFi. Both wired and wireless were $10 for 24 hours. The wired was fast but still, $10 a day?!?

I was surprised the pool didn't cost money. it did cost though. I was in the hot-tub and sliced my toe on a grate at the bottom of the hot-tub. Took a patch of skin right off. :( Completely preventable had they installed the proper grating.

The rooms were average size. Yes, the bed was comfortable but the rooms were small. The shower put out so much water, I started to believe Denver didn't have a water problem.

Would I stay here again? Nope, not at all. The additional costs were my breaking point. Just not worth it. Felt like I was getting "nickle and dimed" for a Hyatt. « less
