Amelia Island Plantation

Amelia Island Plantation is the premier AAA-Four Diamond island resort known for its golfing and active lifestyle. Located on the southern end of Amelia Island, Fla., the hotel is situated adjacent to St. Mary’s River and the historic city of Fernandina, Fla. The resort overlooks the azure blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Intracoastal Waterway to the west, and boasts three-and-one-half miles of beachfront.

The Amelia Island Plantation is home to four diverse golf courses, the Amelia River, Oak Marsh, Long Point which includes primal marshlands, and Ocean Links which winds around the sea dunes. Complimentary shuttle service to the Amelia River Golf Course is provided. Scattered throughout the property are 23 pools, 23 clay tennis courts, some with bleacher seating, and a fully staffed health and fitness center with an indoor lap pool. Each complex of condo-style villas throughout the resort has an outdoor pool. A beauty salon and luxury spa pamper visitors in a 25-room facility. A nature center with groomed trails offers hiking, biking, kayaking and guided Segway tours. Clothing, golf and specialty shops can be found in a small shopping village at the entrance of the resort, and seven sumptuous restaurants are among the many amenities offered at Amelia Island Plantation. Conference facilities feature more than 49,000 square-feet of versatile function space to accommodate banquets, parties and conferences of all sizes. The Beach Club is home to the resort’s two large outdoor pools, children’s pool and hot tub.

The Amelia Island Plantation guest rooms and villas are located in a seven-story hotel building or two- to six-story buildings. Select rooms, not in the Amelia Inn, offer furnished balconies or patios with ocean views and mini bars. Condo-style villas feature fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, living rooms, washers and dryers, and furnished balconies or patios. Guestrooms are equipped with mini fridges. Cable television and complimentary high-speed Internet access are provided. Resort-view accommodations, located within the interior of the resort one-half mile from the Beach Club, offer forested, golf course, lake or tennis center views. Pack & Play (play yards) are provided for children under 30 pounds.
