- Beautiful ,peaceful, clean and fun. The service is outstanding. Room service food was fair though. And actual room we stayed was fair, quiet except elevators are loud and annoying. It sounded like wind blowing continuously. Balcony was pointless, too small. If they had toddler area, besides pool would be better. Yes I would go back. It was great! « less

- My husband, daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter and niece (two preteen/teens) spent the past week at the resort. We loved the property and the staff. A Super Target and huge mall is within a couple of miles as is a Publix grocery store, so it was easy to keep the refridgerator stocked. The pools and lazy river were a huge hit with the group...the trip to Big Hickory island was just ok. The only complaint was the pillows although the staff tried hard to make us comfortable. All in all, a keeper and we will return. « less

- My family and I just returned from a great week at the Hyatt Cocunut Plantation located in southwest Florida, just north of Naples. This Hyatt Vacation Club property was top notch as is common with Hyatt. The grounds are beautifully kept with many palm trees, ponds (complete with a few small 3-4 foot long alligators), 3 large swimming pools, a lazy river complete with waterfalls to add to the enjoyment. The lounging area around the pools has plenty of room with lounge chairs, cabanas and even hammocks to take a load off.
Our unit was a two bedroom lock-off unit and sleeps up to 8. There were 6 of us and we had room to spead out and never felt cramped in our unit. Each bedroom has king-sized beds that were very comfortable, although my oldest son complained the pillows were too soft for his liking. There are two sofa sleepers and the guys using those said they weren't very comfortable for sleeping. Our unit had 3 separate screened-in balconies complete with lighting, ceiling fans and lounge chairs and tables. Our unit had a washer/dryer that came in handy when staying the entire week. The kitchen is fully equipped with first class appliances, cookware, tableware, silverware and glassware. The unit has 3 televisions and two DVD players, so we never had any fights over what to watch in the evening. And the parking is under the units, so the cars are protected from the elements all week.
We always had great service from the desk staff, housekeeping staff, the staff around the pool and the wait staff at the Veranda Grill. They were immediately responsive to all requests. Since it is a timeshare property, full maid service is performed only in the middle of the week during the full week stay. Housekeeping freshens the towels daily and takes care of trash daily.
The Hyatt Cocunut Plantation resort is adjacent to the Hyatt Regency Cocunut Point Hotel. We had full access to the facilities at the Regency. This is a fabulous hotel with beautiful facilities. They have fine dining and casual dining options. Their largest pool (the activity pool) has a nice water-tube slide. There is a shuttle that provides service between the Regency and the Vacation Club resorts.
Included in the week is access to a private beach on Big Hickory Island. A 15 minute boat ride provides access to the island beach. This is not a real nice beach, but does give everyone the opportunity to enjoy the gulf. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided at the beach.
The Raptor Bay golf course is on the property as well. Our unit overlooked the 10th hole. My son and I played a round on this Raymond Floyd designed course. The course was in pristine condition and is a good course for novice as well as advanced golfers. One word of caution though - don't venture out into the rough or you may not come back. There are alligators around the property.
The area around the Hyatt properties has plenty of shopping opportunities. Cocunut Point Shopping Center is 2 miles away with small and large stores as well as many dining options. Nearby Naples and Fort Myers has many shopping and dining opportunities as well.
One side note - the timeshare sales staff is working hard to close out sales on their existing units. They said they are 94% sold out. They are offering some really good deals with lots of incentives right now. I spoke to them briefly about it but never felt pressured at all.
Our week in Florida was everything I hoped it would be. I've been a timeshare owner with Hyatt 4 years and have always been satisfied at each of their properties. The Hyatt Cocunut Plantation is a great location for families as well as those that are looking for a relaxing adult vacation. « less

- As a Hyatt Vacation club owner I have been able to visit more than half a dozen locations and Coconut Plantation has always been my favorite. Beautiful landscaped grounds, great pools and lazy river and sumptiously appointed suites, but this visit we had had to switch rooms. Utencils, pots and pans missing, fans broken, lights out - this is not the quality you come to expect from Hyatt. The usual Hyatt management rotation has resulted in a management staff that is just not on top of things as before. « less

- I spent several days here at a corporate event and cannot say enough great things about the service at this hotel. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to make sure that everything about the event was perfect. I mentioned in passing to the breakfast waitress that my in-room coffee machine didn't work, and to my surprise they sent someone to switch it out a few hours later. The prices at the spa will leave you gasping but I strongly recommend Iris for the Ashiatsu massage (with her feet!). The pools are awesome and the private beach by boat is a nice touch. If I had any complaints it would be that the electrical outlets are not very business-travel friendly. Outstanding fitness center though! « less
