- I recently stayed in this Travelodge. Reason for choosing this motel was the excellent reviews I read on tripadvisor but all the good things came to an end once I reached the motel. Here are some of the bad experiences I had:-
1) Room was not thoroughly cleaned i.e. looked like the linens were reused from previous stay and not cleaned.
2) There were MOSQUITOS - a lot of them inside the room.
3) The hotel staff on the night shift was very non friendly and rude and arrogant.
Here is what happened: I was travelling with my wife and a 17 monthly baby, when we entered the room we found out that there were mosquitos. I thought of letting the staff know of it and check if they have any repellent etc. When I approached the manager on duty he was rude and said he cannot do anything, he said you can either walk out or goto walmart and get a repellent yourself.
This is not something that we expect off in this country, we are supposed to courteous and good to our customers.
Anyway a horrible experience and one that I'll never forget. Please write your reviews cautiously cos someone is making decisions based on that. « less Read management response to this review.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to post a review; we value your comments. Most of our business comes from customer referals. What we are trying to do is to take the limited service concept to its next level. Our extended, deluxe continental breakfast is very popular with guests and we have now built a tiki-hut near the breakfast area for additional outside sitting. We have FREE WI-FI through out the property, and guests have FREE access to 3 computers in the Business Center - all of them are powered by 3 x Ts yielding up/download speeds of upto 4.5 Mb/sec.
Everglades National Park, Alligator Farm, Air-boat rides, Biscayne National Park, Motor Sports Complex and the first of the keys (Key Largo) are 15 minutes drive from our location. Miami, FT Lauderdale and south beach are 40 minutes driving distance from our location - such that day trips are perfectly feasible. All our rooms are ground floor with parking in front of the rooms.

- The Travelodge is a family owned business. It is very convenient to live there, because the employees are friendly and helpful, so the hospitality is awesome. The pool is clean and the area nicely built.
I really have to say that the rooms are well equipped. If you visit more than one Motel on your trip you can see the big difference between Motels. The Travelodge down in Florida City is outstanding. They do not have only the standard equipment of electronic devices like fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, safe etc. All the rooms are appointed with new flat screens and free really High-speed Wi-Fi connection and it works "perfectly" compare to so many other Motels. In compare to other Motels the air condition is working very well and is very easy to use. The bed is not creaking and you have 4 pillows instead of 2.
The breakfast is really huge and they offer a huge variety of different things. Starting with the bread, you choose between English muffin, Beagle, Toast … There are 4 different cereal machines and two types of milk (low fat and normal milk). In the fridge are sausages, cheese and egg for the microwave. They also offer donuts, waffles and other sweet stuff.
We got the chance to meet the General Manager Sunny Patel of the Motel. He is a really nice person and very very helpful and he leads the Motel in a very comfortable and professional way.
We enjoyed the entire stay in the Travelodge.
In conclusion I have to say, this Motel is the best value for money on the whole East coast of Florida, satisfaction guaranteed and I will definitely come back soon! « less Read management response to this review.

- We stayed at this hotel on the recommendation of a couple we met in the Visitor Centre. We were pleasantly surprised. The accommodation is basic but satisfactory and clean. The free breakfasts are sufficient and there are plenty of restarants and bars nearby. It was a great location for visiting the Everglades over 2-3 days. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the Manager (Sunny) was very accommodating. The only drawback were the noisy neighbours who kept us awake one night but the Manager will deal with such situations diplomatically. « less

Thank yu fo your kind words and also for your business. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising. Sometimes guets get carried away; and in these circumstances we always ask you to call the front desk and alert them. We always have 2 staff at the desk, and one of them will, if need be, go and politley ask anybody noisy to calm down. Our guests are generally very cooperative and we believe will comply.
We all work as a team towards one goal - Guest satisfaction. We believe this can only be achieved by addressing all aspects of he hospitality business. Which we do.
