- We arrived at the Dolphin Inn and were immediately impressed with the service. The owner, Travis, is very friendly and attentive to your every need. They have towels, DVDs, beach chairs and umbrellas available for your use. The pool is very large and is kept very clean. It is an older building, and some rooms are quite small, but cozy. The location is great, with beach access walkway right across the street. We slept great, since it was nice and quiet. There are dishes and silverware in each room, if you want to fix some local seafood on one of the two availble grills outside. Plenty of outdoor seating available. This place isn't a five star hotel by any means, but is a great value for the price. I would much rather support locally owned businesses anyway. I recommend this for your stay at Fort Myers Beach! « less

- We recently stayed at Dolphin Inn for family vacation. It was the 1st time we had been to FL and the beach. The inn was wonderful. Everything was very clean, even outside. The pool, which was beautiful, clean and big, was about 10 steps out of our door The rooms were older but great. It was very quiet, private, and the staff went above and beyond to assist us in any way. The beach area was a short walk across the street and was wonderful. It was at the quiet end of the beach of fort myers, fl. Always a quiet place to explore and relax. The entire atmosphere was quiet, beautiful and totally relaxing. When we go back to Fort Myers to visit my son, we will defientely stay at the Dolphin Inn. We felt like we were on our own quiet, private resort. « less

- Older hotel but clean. I faced the bay. Other rooms faced the pool side. The beach is clean and wide; a short walk across the street. There is a small movie theatre right next door. It was a little loud during the day as they were working on the place. Maybe it was the time of year that they do maintenance. As others said, check out the outside refrigerator where they put things others leave. Also, there are lots of books in the office to borrow and they also have DVDs. « less

- I stayed at the Dolphin Inn from June 6-13, 2010. It is a great place to stay. The owners, Travis and Jen Owens are great people. They are always friendly and helpful. They made sure that if I needed anything, to just let them know. The room was perfect for me. It had a small kitchen so if I wanted to cook something, I could. There were places to eat just down the street. There is a movie theater next door to the Dolphin Inn. The pool was just outside my room and the beach was across the street. They rent bicycles so I rode around on a bike everyday. I went to see my son and I just wanted to relax and enjoy the sun. Which I did! I plan to go back to the Dolphin Inn later in the summer.
