Location. The Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa is an oceanfront property in Jupiter, Fla., boasting 1,000 feet of private beach. The resort is located adjacent to Carlin Park and less than one mile from downtown Jupiter. The Florida History Center and Museum, Jupiter Lighthouse and Blowing Rocks Preserve are within two miles.
Hotel Features. An on-site restaurant, Sinclair's Ocean Grill, serves a variety of seafood and steaks, while the adjacent lounge offers light fare poolside, with a complete selection of beverages. Sandbar is a more casual oceanfront dining option. More than 14,000 of indoor and outdoor function space is offered, ranging from executive boardrooms to a 4,500-square-foot ballroom. Business amenities include event catering, complimentary high-speed Internet access throughout the hotel and a business center. The hotel provides beachside cabanas, watercraft rentals and an outdoor splash pool. The spa offers a waterfall relaxation space and a tea bar. A fitness center and lighted tennis courts are additional recreation options.

My wife, two adult boys and I stayed at this hotel from Dec 29 through Jan 1, 2010. The first thing that caught our eye was the entrance onto to property. It was very tropical and gave us the feeling we were entering a special place - just beautiful. The lobby was well staffed and check in was quick. The lobby had the look of a Ritz hotel with alot of dark toned woods, plush sofas and a huge lit Christmas tree. We had an ocean front room and our boys had a connecting ocean view room. The ocean view room was actually better than our view because you could see all the way down the beach. I recommend the south view over the north view and for the difference in the money, the ocean view is worth the savings. The king bed was extremely comfortable, the bathrooms were well designed and with our room there was a wet bar and foyer that connected up to our sons room. The only bad thing about our room is that we could hear the TV when it was on in the room next to us - so the walls seemed to be thin. I am used to beautiful beaches coming from SC and I must admit, I was a little disappointed in the course darker sand and very narrow beach. I think at low tide you had a beach that was 50 ft wide at most. At high tide, you could barely walk on it. But the food in the restaurant in the hotel was exceptional. The breakfast had fresh fruit and everything you could ever want. Oh, and did I mention - there was free parking at the hotel? Quite rare in this area. Also, we brought a little dog and the hotel was very dog friendly. The beach service for setting up chairs were not too friendly. The first day they gave us chairs with foot stools that were torn. They do have big thick cushions that they can throw over the chairs, but they guard them like Ft Knox. Also, they placed the chairs in a spot close to the ocean which was a little windy saying they could not place them too close to other people on the beach. I eventually moved them myself. I asked for four chairs with cushions the second day and was told I could only have two with cushions because they were saving the cushions for the really badly torn chairs. Also, I had to ask the beach service if they would move our set up further down the beach because some people next to us were smoking and the last thing I wanted was smoke in my face. The beach service guy acted like he was doing me a really big favor to move me - instead of just doing his job with a smile. When it was time to leave, I pulled my car up and parked it off to the side and went up to the room without leaving the keys with the valet desk. Boy did that tick him off. He told me I was blocking a fire lane and I needed to leave the keys with him. When I went inside the lobby for a second, he followed me all the way towards the elevator thinking I was going to leave the area again and attempted to grab my keys. Not a very good attitude to leave a departing guest. Overall, the hotel was gorgeous, food exceptional, maid service excellent, view from the balconies fantastic, and rooms very very nice. I'll give the beach service (and even the valet parking guy) a mulligan and would definately stay there again with the understanding that it is one of the more expensive hotels in the areas. Too bad they could not make the walls a little more sound proof, but that really did not bother us. Happy traveling! « less
