We stayed at Bonnet Creek for 1 week starting Jan. 16th. We had a 2 bedroom unit which was very roomy for our family of 4. (me, my husband, our 7 year old son, and 2 year old daughter) Check-in was quick and easy and no one even asked me about a time-share presentation. The room was great!! The kids loved the large jacuzzi tub. It was so nice for everyone to have their own room to sleep in! They do not have cribs here, only pack-n-plays, so I rented one from "A Baby's Best Friend", the crib was fine-a little tricky to put together, also the bedding was pretty worn, but my daughter liked it and she slept great! So I would definately recommend renting one if you use a crib at home. The hotel was very quiet, I really didn't hear any noises at all!! The beds were quite comfy, I usually cannot sleep at a hotel, but this was kind of like home and I had no problems!! We had to call the first night because the fitted sheet on our bed was too small and they brought one up right away. We requested a view of the Epcot fireworks, which we got, it was a beautiful view, except I was a little nervous to have my children on the balcony of the 14th floor!!! Next time I would request a lower floor! The grounds are beautiful and they are some what spread out, but it is a nice walk around the lake. There are 4 different pool areas, one has the large slide, 2 have a lazy river, there are many different hot tubs. It was a little cool when we stayed but the pools were plenty warm. There were little restaurants out by the pools but we never ate there. We rented our own car so we never took the shuttles to the parks but there were plenty of pick up times on the schedule. I would try the shuttles since parking is $14 per day at Disney! I would also like to spent more time at the resort, there were lots of activities but we were too busy at Disney to attend any. The kids did enjoy the pools. My daughter was upset that she wasn't allowed to go down the slide, she is 2 1/2 and the sign says you must be 5 years old. It is understandable because you do go under water at the end and it is quite deep, but the lifeguards would not let me hold her to take her down either. She was pretty sad. :( There is also mini golf and a little playground.
Super Walmart is only a couple miles away so we bought groceries our first night and ate breakfast and lunches in the room, which saved some money. There are many good restaurants within 5-10 minutes of the hotel, everything you can think of! We went to the T-Rex restaurant at Downtown Disney one night, it was really amazing! My son loved it! (a little expensive though) I would also recommend the Orlando Ale House, very good burgers! Joe's Crab Shack was not so good, don't go there! If you order a pizza for delivery you have to go to the front of the main building to pick it up. I can't wait to go back next year!! I'm not sure why we were never asked to do a time-share presentation and we never received a phone call either, which was fine with me! We did use the in-room washer and dryer which was very helpful. You will definately love this place!!!!! « less
