- This place is not clean, we were there 03/25/10 to 03/26/10, you do not want to take off your shoes, the room was extrememly outdated. The hotel manager left a message on hotels.com, stating recentely renovated, new bedding, furniture, bathroom fixitures, many rooms totally remodeling, well let me tell you, we did not see any of these rooms. The curtains were open in the section we stayed in and they all look the same, dirty, and if this was true about new remoldel rooms, why did they put us in one that was not? We only slept there, while visiting friends, the main office was clean, the staff somewhat friendly. As for the breakfast, get this, you were ask if you were a guest there and then had to show a card that you were staying there so you could eat. The artificial eggs were not good at all, coffee was good. The hotel was not in a good area at all, that is why I think you had to show a card that you were staying at the hotel, they must have problems with the riff raft around the area. We did mention the morning we left how bad the room was and they said if they would have known, they would have changed our room, but the section we stayed in, they look all the same. The room next to ours, there was a couple there, that has been staying there for weeks, and they said, most of the rooms are like the ones we stayed in, but they are remodeling. The was a odor in the room, we stayed in room 129, do not get this room. There was even kids working on their car sound system for a couple of hours in the parking lot and they did not even have a room there. The shower was very dirty. I should have read the reviews and listen to many of the commments, but we decided to stay there because of the price, well NEVER AGAIN. « less

- Stayed here one night before attending a Tigers Spring Training game at nearby Joker Marchant Stadium. Arrived quite late after coming in on a late flight into Orlando Int'l. Check-in was very accomodating and friendly, and I was exhausted so I really didn't notice or care about the quality of the beds, which I'd say were average. There was nothing particurly impressive about the room; there was quite a large stain on the carpet - seems some of the rooms have been switched to all tile but the room I stayed in may have been an older room. The older style CRT television was in poor working order and would turn on and off randomly. I did not go in the pool but it seemed average. There was also a comedy club/bar on site that was just closing up when i got there. On the plus side, the breakfast was very good and the staff was nice. If you're paying around $50 to stay here, that sounds about right. More is too much. « less

- This Howard Johnson's "Executive Center" is a holding bin for old people's tour groups and truckers wanting to spend a night out of the sleeper. Several members of my company complained of smells and bugs in their rooms. Most disturbing to me are the lack of carpeting in many of the 1st floor rooms. It's wall-to-wall tile, and that equals dirty and COLD!
This is a classic example of a bar / karaoke lounge / third rate comedy club keeping an otherwise forgettable hotel-motel afloat. To their credit, however...customer service was quite helpful and accommodating. This is probably because they are used to getting a lot of complaints.
This place is set back from the offramp, and in a shady part of town. There was a perfectly decent Holiday Inn right across the street, and we wished we had stayed there.
Rooms are bare bones, and my comforter was stained and yellowing. It was torn off the bed immediately upon arrival, revealing a nice Vellux blanket - which would have been fine, save for all the cigarette burns. « less

- I booked this hotel for five nights for a business trip. When I spoke to the desk clerk when making my reservation, she promised me a quiet room poolside. When I arrived, i was put in an outside room with paint peeling from the ceiling, bad carpet and people next door that appeared to be local drugstore operators since they had people coming in and out all night.
When I came down to the desk the next morning, a heavy set latin woman was no help. She said if I did not like the room, I could leave but they were going to charge my credit card for another night. I asked to speak with the manager. This woman told me she was the owner and she made all the decisions. I did check out and went to another hotel for my remaining 4 nights and had no problems. Later, I found out that this Howard Johnson used to be a Best Western but they were kicked out of their system. I have written to both Howard Johnson corporate and to my credit card company requesting a refund. My company is also staying away since our employees stay in the area about 100 nights of the year. Never again at this place. « less Read management response to this review.
Many renovations have been done to the guestrooms. We are sorry that you experienced a room that wasn't renovated.
