Location. The Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa in Orlando, Fla., is a luxury condominium resort, within one-and-one-half miles from the entrance to Walt Disney World. SeaWorld Orlando is located only four miles away and Universal Studios Orlando is eight miles away.
Features. An oversized pool provides a galleon shipwreck and a second pool offers a quiet swim. Frankie Farrell's Irish Pub & Grille is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The popular Irish Breakfast is served all day, and includes bacon, sausage, white and black pudding, and fried tomatoes. A Pizza Hut Express Café and a poolside bar are also on site. Complimentary high-speed Internet access is provided. Reflections Spa & Salon, located on the top floor in the main registration building, offers a variety of treatments and services for guests' relaxation. Complimentary transportation to most of the surrounding parks is available. A state-of-the-art fitness center is open 24 hours. The property also features a game room.

Guestrooms. These beautifully furnished condominiums offer 1 to 4 bedrooms and boast full kitchens. Bathrooms feature lighted makeup mirrors, tile floors and granite countertops. Master bathrooms additionally offer jetted tubs with alternating lighting schemes and walk-in showers. All units are non-smoking, but all units feature private balconies where smoking is permitted. Large, furnished balconies range from 100 to 125 square feet. Amenities include flat-screen televisions in each bedroom and complimentary high-speed Ethernet Internet access.

Just returned home from Two weeks at the Lake Buena Visa Resort & Spa. I think the name is somewhat deceiving. This 'Resort' would be better named as an apartment or condo. There was nothing 'resort' or 'spa' aout it. We had a 3 bedroom/ 2 bath unit for 4 adults & 4 kids. Our unit was very spacious and the bathrooms were in very good condition. No mold & all appliances were newer and worked without problems. The kitchen had only basics (no serving spoons or vegetable peeler etc). It was fine for fixing breakfast and snacks or cold meals but I wouldn't want to prepare an actual dinner. There is not daily housekeeping unless you pay for and book it in advance which could be the reason things are starting to look a little 'tired'. The carpets & furniture need a good cleaning although they were in pretty good shape other than being soiled. When we arrived we had only one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one roll of paper towel in the dispenser in the kitchen. There was NO dishclothes or kitchen towels and not a cleaning product in sight to wipe down the kitchen table or counters. The hallway and unit had a bit of an odour but we got used to it.
The pool area was very nice.
The location was very good (10-20 minutes from all parks & downtown Disney) But not much for good restaurants close by. Walmart 5 minutes away. I wouldn't want to be without a car if I was staying for longer than a week. (although Hotel wasn't very busy and the parking lot seemed full every night)
Front staff not bad but not great. Had an issue with a party in the unit next to us. Had to call front desk several times which was of no help. Using the tub for an ice bath for beer in adjoining bedroom followed by drunk person barfing in tub made for LONG night. Could hear word for word conversations in unit next door although some noise to be expected.
The biggest issue we had was the Bedding & pillows. This may seem minor in print, but believe me we are talking MOTELl 6 quality!! NASTY! The bedspreads STUNK (don't think they have ever been washed), The sheets were paper thin and a bit grungy and the pillows were so flat you may as well not have used one. At the end of our stay my sister reminded me that someone on trip advisor suggested going to Walmart and picking up a comforter and I couldn't agree more!
If this 'resort' changed the linens including towels (which we saw housekeeping folding on the hallway floor!) I would give them a 4.5 stars. But after 14 days of dreading crawling into bed, I give it a 3 star.
If you have already booked your trip, don't panic but bring your own bedding & a few cleaning products and you'll be fine. We had a great trip. « less
