Location. Grand Bohemian Orlando in Orlando, Fla., is centered amongst the downtown Arts District museums and theaters. This smoke-free hotel is 13 miles from the Orlando International Airport and eight miles from Orlando Convention Center. Guests are approximately 10 miles from Disney World, SeaWorld and Universal Studios.
Hotel Features. Ranked by Travel Leisure as one of the world's top 500 hotels, Grand Bohemian Orlando features décor reminiscent of a scene from the streets of Vienna. The lobby floor is stark white contrasting with stately black columns, marble counters and crimson seating areas. Black-marble tables, ebony velour banquettes and chairs, tiled floor and six Klimt drawings make Klimt Rotunda a fashionable venue for cocktails and appetizers. A rare Bösendorfer piano attracts many stares and Chilean sea bass is a popular menu item. Dining at The Boheme is available three meals a day, including a weekly Jazz Brunch. The Bösendorfer Lounge's features a rotating harlequin, marble bar and hardwood floors. Venues for recreation include a sizeable lap pool and spa tub highlighted by a fabric-draped gazebo. A business center offers 24-hour access and 11 meeting rooms encompass 10,000 square feet of conference and banquet space.

Guestrooms. Stylish guestrooms feature quilted headboards complemented by crimson sofas and lacquered tables. Soft beds display pillowtop mattresses, triple sheeting, down comforters and piles of fluffy pillows. Amenities include coffeemakers, minibars and video games.

I blocked a large amount of rooms for my daughter's wedding five months in advance.
I confirmed the arrangements several months later and was told not all the rooms had been reserved. Again, reserved the amount of rooms needed. When I received the confirmations, again they were incorrect. I spoke to the manager who assigned Jennifer to assist me. She was wonderful and asked for a list of guest's names to assign to each room. I sent her an email and then hand delivered the information. When I met her, I was notified she was now the restaurant mgr but would still help me.
Several days before the wedding I delivered "welcome bags" for each of our guests to receive upon check-in. The person at the front desk took them in the back and stated each of our guests would get one.
Day before the wedding one guest had to wait an hour before they were given a room. The bride and groom were both suppose to each have a suite with an adjoining room for the groomsmen and bridesmaids. There was no room for the bridesmaids and the groomsmen were down the hall. The "welcome bags" were never given out until the grooms mother asked about them an hour before the wedding. The night of the wedding the couple stayed in the brides suite which I had asked to be cleaned, it was not done and as a gift from the hotel for their " troubles" a bottle of champagne and strawberries were put on a dirty table. I was also charged $90 for that kind gesture. All the problems were becoming a joke and some of my guests left and went to another hotel in the city.
When I contacted the manager about all the problems, she kept saying "how do you think I feel", I could care less how she felt! My family and I will never stay at the Grand Bohemian again!!! I travel alot for my job and I have to say it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! One bright note - the manager credited the $90 when I brought it to her attention (saw the $90 charge on my credit card statement).
If you have a large party, go somewhere else. « less
