Location. The Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort in Panama City Beach, Fla., is a 110-acre property, stretching over 20 miles of sugar-white beaches. Within two miles of the resort are attractions including the Shipwreck Island Water Park, the Coconut Creek Family Fun Park and the Rain Forest Republic.
Features. On-site dining is available at the Oceans Bar and Grill, a mirrored-wall, tropical restaurant and lounge. There is also a beachfront bar, and room service is also offered. Business amenities include meeting space, event catering and wireless Internet access. The Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort functions much like village, with shops, a Mediterranean-style deli, an Internet café, a spa and fitness center.
One of the main attractions of this property is the 11,000-square-foot Polynesian-style lagoon pool, featuring an elaborate system of waterfalls and an island. The pool deck includes two heated jetted tubs, six reflection pools, and live entertainment most afternoons. The resort includes a complete fitness facility and wellness program with classes offered daily. The activities desk can provide information for water sports such as windsurfing, banana boat tours and parasailing.
Guestrooms. The condo-style accommodations at the Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort offer either beachfront or golf course views from private decks and patios. Golf course villas offer lush and private surroundings alongside the Edgewater's own nine-hole golf course, and oceanfront villas are housed in high-rise buildings directly on the beach. Amenities include fully equipped kitchens, wireless Internet access, and washers and dryers.
Expert Tip. The hotel's Palapa Kids Zone is an adult-free zone where children can play miniature golf, make giant tropical fish and decorate T-shirts, or participate in Kids Night Out, complete with dinner, games and crafts.

Everything was great - from the preconference phase to execution. The conference center was well laid out, and whatever issues came up - the conference center manager Debra Abrams was there to take care of it immediately - or contact the right person on the staff who responded just as quickly. Because of their professionalism, the conference ran smoothly. Thanks to the entire staff for your help in assisting with other needs such as security, transportation - and more. You all worked well as a team - and were a pleasure to work with!!! The rooms at Edgewater and their other property the Majestic were clean and spacious - and those on the beach side had a spectacular view!!! I plan to come back as a visitor to relax and take advantage of the events offered there and of course, do some shopping!!! « less

- My husband and I stayed at Edgewater for the weekend. When we were checking-in, the service at the front desk couldn't have been better. They were very informative about the resort and the services they have to offer to make our stay as relaxing and stress-free as possible.
We stayed in a beachfront condo located on the 5th floor. The open floorpan condo was very nicely decorated– tile floors, modern fixtures, flat screen tv, and granite counter tops in both the kitchen and bathroom. Floor to ceiling windows in the living room looking out into the Gulf made for a beautiful view.

It seemed as if the room had been remodeled with granite counter tops, tile floors, deep tub and pleasant finishings. The view of the gulf and beach was awesome and we enjoyed it from our private balcony. It was cold when I stayed but the large lagoon pool was landscaped with a stunning array of topical foliage, I wish I could have gone swimming. I would definitely recommend staying at this resort. « less

The toliet was stained. The bedding was old and worn out. the furniture was dated and cheap. The remote control didnt work. The room was something out of the 80's nothing like what the website and brocures show I would never stay ther again at $200 a night. « less

These are condos being rented out by a management group unless you go through VRBO. So there isn't the quick perfect service that you would expect. There aren't enough towels, there isn't enough toilet paper, paper towels, and the maid won't come everyday and pick up after you.
You will get a one or two bedroom condo with a full kitchen, ours had two full baths, a great balcony over the beach and a pool. The beach facing of the structures (three towers) are being rebuilt, so there is a lot of construction going on right now.
We found that it would have been a better value to stay in the golf condos, rather than the towers during this season.

Thank you for your feedback. You are correct that we are not a hotel. We are a full service management company that rents private units on behalf of our owners. If you rent directly through Edgewater Beach Resort and not a private owner or other rental company, we are happy to provide additional requests such as toilet paper and paper towels. We also offer daily maid service, a la carte.
Although there is a bit of construction in 3 of our towers, that work is wrapping up quickly and will be completed this spring.
