Location. The Sterling Resorts - Sterling Reef overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and a sugar-white sand beach in Panama City Beach, Fla. The Shipwreck Island Waterpark is across the street from the resort, and the Bay County Fishing Pier is next door. The Hombre Golf Club is two miles from the property. Indy Speedway and the Super Speed Fun Park are less than three miles away.
Features. This high-rise condominium resort features a 4,000-square-foot seasonally heated bi-level pool surrounded by tropical landscaping, and a fitness facility overlooking the pool and beach. Water-sport rentals, including Jet Skis, pontoon boats and parasailing, are available at the beach. The Sterling Reef resort offers an activity room with a big-screen television, seasonal children's activities and unlimited complimentary DVD rentals. Concierge services and complimentary high-speed Internet access are available. Covered parking is complimentary. Pets are not allowed at the property.

Guestrooms. Condominiums at the Sterling Reef resort offer nine-foot ceilings, open-plan living and dining areas, and balconies overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The master bedrooms feature walk-in closets. Fully equipped kitchens include islands, refrigerators, microwave ovens and dishwashers. All units are equipped with washers and dryer. The condominiums offer cable television, DVD players and complimentary high-speed Internet access.

Expert Tip. The resort offers discount tickets to the Shipwreck Island Waterpark, located across the street from the resort. Skull Island, Pirate's Plunge, Raging Rapids, Zoom Flume and the Ocean Motion Wave Pool are just a few of the rides and attractions featured at the waterpark.

Just got back from Panama City Beach Florida. Stayed at Sterling Reef. Condo we stayed in was awesome but the security at the facility was not good. I thought that since the parking was under the building it would be gated but not. Anyone could just come on in the complex area. Even though the owner left us arm bands and a ticket for our vehicle we never used either one and was never asked if we were staying there. Only seen one security guard the whole week. Then the gate to the beach had black tape around the lock so anyone could come and go as they pleased. The two pools were ok but not very large. The pool that was supposedly heat was still cold. The kids swam in it a little but not much. Also, was told would have free wi-fi but when i asked about it at the front desk the not so friendly girl just said i could drive down the rode some to a coffee shop and i could get it then. Well i did not want to drive anywhere just to get it so then someone saw me at the pool area trying just to get a connection and she told me the password to get it free. I would of thought the not so friendly girl at the desk would of known that but guess she was to busy talking on the phone all the time. One day my husband took the stairs and believe it or not there was human feces in it!!! Well you can say we never took the stairs again! Then some kid took one of the fire extinguishers in the parking garage and had some fun. As you can see they say they have 24 hour surveliance but guess someone has to be looking at it for 24 hours to make it work. Oh well, I understand we went down during spring break and some of these things happen, but I just thought that since we were not staying where the teenagers stayed it would of been nicer. Also, the hotel next door had people up all nigh partying and didn't get much sleep. Other than that i can honestly say i will not stay there again or even stay in Panama City Beach again... We drove up to Navarre Beach and the island up there looked nice so i think i will try that next year. « less
