- The main plus of this hotel is the view and its proximity to the beach. It also has a nice well maintained boardwalk to the beach.
We ended up taking a suite for the weekend on the 5-th floor. After some minor repairs the rooms were in satisfactory state but one can see that this hotel badly needs a full remodeling.
The maintenance staff is very friendly.
It is a pity since it has such a good location.
Parking is free.
The televisions were old. The bathroom was satisfactory.
There is no continental breakfast and one has to pay for the breakfast unless otherwise negotiated , but we were issued coupons entitling us to a sandwich and a glass of juice daily.
Overall a mixed experience.
Internet wi-Fi is available at a cost of $10 a day with low to medium reception « less

- Do not create stress for yourself. Please take the advice of all comments left for this hotel This is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. Rude, rude rude front desk clerks. Check-in stated 4:00p.m. Four families ahead of me and I waited til after 5pm to get our room. Front desk said: check-in STARTS at 4pm. The room is filthy and smells wet and moldy. The complimentary breakfast is a joke. I have had better breakfasts prepared when my child was 3 on mother's day. « less

- I have never ever been in such hotel in my entire life. The rooms are smelly, the mattresses are probably 30 years old and when you lay on them, they sink with you. The sheets do not fit the mattresses. The bedspreads and blanket are ugly and old and smell bad. The TVs are old fashioned tvs set. The microwave knobs are broken and fall down when in use. The bathrooms are small, with dirty mildew shower curtains. Carpet is very old, smell like mold. The swimming pool is dirty and green. Kids are left unattended all night long swimming in the pool until 2:00 am. The staff is rude. Well there aren't enough words to describe the horror in that hotel. Please go anywhere you will regret ever staying there. I will never go back there, I have never been in a Motor 6 or Motor 8, but I believe they might be better. « less

- We stayed at the "resort" last week as part of the BigStuf Camp week eight. That's the only reason, we even stayed there the first night, let alone four nights. This hotel is old, run down and unkempt.
First we were greeted with a pungent smell of mildew when we opened the door to our room. Thankfully, none of our group staying in the room had asthma or bad allergies or one of us could have been seriously ill by the end of the stay.
The bathrooms are ridiculously small. There is a pedestal sink, no vanity, and a toilet that sits right next to the bathtub that means you have to sit at an angle on the seat.. Another major problem with the bathtub is there are no vent fans in the bathrooms and they become scorching hot in only a matter of minutes due to the three lights above the mirror. Along with the other issues in the bathroom, the shower rod was rusted and their were gaps in the wall between the sheet rock and tub.
The beds were decent but our bedding was not changed at all during the stay, only towels replaced. We also had a 2+ inch cockroach come crawling through our room during the stay.
Plugs are at a premium in the room with only a set behind the nightstand and another behind the TV/Microwave/Fridge. There is no free high-speed internet. One of the people staying in the room purchased internet from the hotel and it was abysmal except for early in the morning.
If this hotel was anywhere but right on the beach, it would be $34.95 a night. It needs a lot of cleaning and updating. I'm actually shocked it meets the health inspector's code. « less

- The reason we booked this hotel is because of the nice photo of their main hotel & the price. When you get there, we found out that there were 3 other small hotels/motels along that beachfront. The motel has a great view of the beach--steps away from it actually. But as soon as you enter the room, everything is old & dated & dirty, 1 socket in the main room, but the kitchen of sorts had 3 plugs, the bathroom sink and shower/tub backs up & is so slow to drain too. We wanted our room changed but we were told to pay addt'l $400 if we want to stay in the big hotel. Oh & the free continental brkfst--a cereal & milk for 2 people only. WHAT A JOKE!! Talk about FALSE ADVERTISING. Next time anyone decides to book here, ask where exactly are they going to put you. Staff are rude & guess they get a lot of complaints. « less
