“NEVER Again!”

This was supposed to be our first Girls’ Weekend out and I wanted my mom, sister and niece to enjoy PC Beach since this was their first time ever going to any beach. Well, I should have paid more attention to the reviews posted and avoided this place all together because the hotel was awful, old, and ragged inside and out! The worst I’ve EVER stayed in. There were hidden fees that totaled more than $130.00. The front desk clerk claim it’s because I book online through a third party (hotels.com) instead of through them. Well, when we got to our “room”, the front door wouldn’t lock because the locks were old or either they’ve been pried and the patio doors were worn. The furniture was at least 25 years old. Did I mention that we were in unit W401 with partial view even though we paid for a gulf view? Well, you best believe I called front desk which was in another building and I had to wait 30 minutes for security to show up with keys to another room. Now, at first front desk said that’s the type unit we reserved. Luckily, I had my confirmation printed stating I paid for gulf view so they switched us to unit W081 which was even WORSE on the inside with those early 1980’s pictures, accessories, and wicker furniture! At least unit 401 with the partial view had 20 inch flat screen TV and DVD because when we went to 801, the TV there was a 19-inch that was VERY fuzzy with a VCR! WHAT?!! Oh, and the carpet floors were dirty, we had to wear socks and shoes. The bottom of my little niece’s socks was black after being there for a while. Bedding was something to scream at because the covers looked dingy. The rooms felt itchy to the skin probably because it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in a while. We stayed outdoors more than we did in the units, which was a good thing. But the last straw was the last day of our stay. I saw a couple of roaches crawling on side of the coffee table and that did it! I was ready to GO! The ONLY good thing was the convenience of the beach. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE EVER AGAIN!! Tear that place DOWN!!!! « less
