- If you like trains passing at 2:00, 4:00, and 6:00 am in the morning this is the place to stay. My husband and I did not get any sleep because of the trains passing and loud stereo music playing on speakers in the patio which we had to call the front desk to ask to turn down or off which they did. If you don't mind cemetery's you will love this place. It is in the middle of a large one on both sides of the interstate. We could see it from our so called polio suite. « less

- The wife won a contest on the radio to see a fantastic band called "Beatlebeat", a tribute band for the Beatles. Not only were they great, but the included meal was incredible. Food is excellent as well as the buffet breakfast the next morning, The room was REALLY nice; clean and comfortable. All was fantastic. We highly reccommend this Motel and we'd stay there again, In fact, we are staying there again tomorrow night.. Got a rate of $59.00 with AAA discount. « less

- Had to go to plant city to meet up with a old friend wanted to stay in a place that had a bar and resturant... and the Red Rose was a hit what a very nice place to stay.. the food was great they have a great happy hour..
Our room was very clean and felt very very safe around the hotel, the pool area looks realy nice.. we were only there for one night but I had a ball.. oh and the morning free breakfast is really good..
Thanks for a great stay you can't go wrong with this hotel. « less

Let's start with check in; can anyone be nicer or more attentive when you walk into a Lobby? Probably not without being annoying, LOL.
Our suite (Gary Lewis & the Playboys) was spotless, and the bed was so comfortable! Evelyn (proprietor) pays attention to every detail.
And everyone on her staff was just so pleasant and helpful.
We had breakfast which is included and let me tell you I felt like I was in someone's home. The dining room is Plantation home style, warm and inviting. They served Biscuits and Gravy, Grits, Eggs, fresh fruit, pastries, bagels, muffins, Coffee, Tea, Juice, Cereal, Oatmeal, etc, which is pretty extensive for a continental breakfast. One of the three woman that were overseeing breakfast, Barbara, who has been there about 5 years, was just as friendly and accommodating as she could be. (She reminded me of Barbara Mandrell and Betty White all rolled into one!) Usually we go out to breakfast because “continental” generally translates to “cold foods left out with no one around”, but that is definitely not the case here.
If you need to go anywhere and don't want to drive, they will take you in their shuttle vans. The pool which was in the courtyard just outside of our suite was absolutely inviting, sparkling clean, but we didn't have any time to enjoy it. Next trip we are staying longer.
The bar and restaurant we missed out on because of the business we had to take care of but it was very lovely, as is the rest of the property.

Our favorite spot is in the lounge area off the beautiful dining room where we hope to have Andrea as our server - she is excellent, efficient and hospitable. It's like being pampered on a cruise in a beautiful dining room. If you're lucky enough to hit the right night, Destiny will be playing - and they can play any genre. Great to dance to especially after everyone has dined and it's gets better and better as the night goes on. If you stay in one of the beautifully decorated rooms - you won't be disappointed. However, it would serve the Madonia's well to tear down the old rooms in the rear and construct a beautiful hall for weddings, etc., and additional new rooms for those not staying in suites. « less
