Location. Set on 20 lushly landscaped acres adjacent to a seven-mile stretch of beach, the TradeWinds Island Grand resort is within 12 miles of the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, Dali Museum, the Sunken Gardens and the Museum of History. The resort's standout feature is its winding waterways, livened by white swans and Nile Perch. The Tampa International Airport is 28 miles from the hotel.
Features. Tradewinds Island Grand boasts 14 dining and entertainment venues, including pizza parlors and ice-cream shops, and three retail outlets on site. On-site amenities include room service during limited hours, valet parking, a concierge desk, poolside bar, tour assistance and an ATM. Tradewinds Island Grand features outdoor pools, a jetted tub, Har-Tru tennis courts and the Body Works Fitness Center, featuring a variety of yoga classes. The on-site Body Works Spa features a unique anti-aging treatment called the Red Wine Facial. The property offers a fully supervised "KONK" (Kids Only, No Kidding) program for children ages 4-11 for a fee. Club activities include crafts, games and activities related to the theme of the day. The TradeWinds Action Zone (T.A.Z.) team offers poolside bingo, glow-in-the-dark volleyball and a sand-sculpting contest.

Guestrooms. The all non-smoking standard guestrooms and suites reflect vivid tropical colors. Rooms include refrigerators, wet bars, coffeemakers and microwave ovens, while the suites have separate bedroom/living areas and fully equipped kitchens.

Expert Tip. The Island Grand is known for its meandering waterways shaded by abundant vegetation and filled with white swans and Nile Perch. Guests can wind their way through the resort area via paddleboat.
