- My partner and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt, Tampa Bay for two nights during our Florida holiday. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they were able to give us directions to everywhere we wanted to visit and even allowed us to check our banking details for free in the business centre. Valet parking is optional and if you park yourself it is right next to the hotel. The hotel has a lovely pool and a fitness room which didn't appear widely used as many of the guests seem to be there on business.
The rooms are large, beautifully furnished and bright. We had a bay view room and this view is amazing. I even managed to watch doplhins swimming from my roon!
The only negatives for us were the location; not great for exploring downtown Tampa but spot on for the airport. Also the walls were quite thin so you could hear some noise from other rooms and the air-con is quite loud. But this doesen't spoil such a beautiful hotel. « less

- My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt prior to flying out of the Tampa International Airport early the next morning. From the second we arrived, the staff couldn't do enough to help us out. We were greeted by at least three people. Doors were opened for us before we had a chance to open them. The young man, Jared, behind the desk, went out of his way for us, finding the perfect room for us. We Pricelined this hotel, but were treated like royalty in every sense of the word. The pool by the bay is a pleasant walk and we were asked by a member of the staff, as we were lying on our lounges, if he could get us a drink while we relaxed. When a terrible thunderstorm came, a bus was available to take us back to the main hotel. My husband ordered a hamburger in the lounge downstairs. Although expensive, it was in a hotel restaurant, so we expected to pay a bit more. The service and the food was great. I used the exercise room. There are state of the art machines, free weights...everything one could ask for...along with free bottles of water. I cannot say enough about this hotel and will absolutely go back again. « less

- The hotel is very appealing to the eye however the bigges flaw this hotel has is the front desk staff who need retraining in customer service skills. I would not recommend others to go there...save your money and go elsewhere. Its a shame though because Hyatt is known for excellence.....but this location truly had a poor customer service skills. « less

- Loved this hotel. When I checked in, I was offered a glass of water, lemonade, or champagne. Valet is optional. Staff was very cordial. A shuttle to a big shopping center is offered for free daily. I ordered a pizza from room service. It was $15 including tax and gratuity. And, it tasted great! Can't beat that. The only negative thing I can report is that the big brown plush pool towels easily shed (gross, got in my kid's mouth). Also, no guest laundry is available. Other than that, it was a fantastic place to stay. « less

- This was a weekend get-away stay, and I chose this location because of very pleasant past stays. The casitas (little houses) are extremely comfortable, private (45 in all), and located within a nature preserve. I know of no other large hotel which offers such unique accommodations. The rooms are spacious with terra cotta tiled floors, ceiling fans from vaulted ceilings, tropical decor, and very private patio space. A koi pond and tropical plantings wend between buildings. There is a pool area that is designated for the casitas. It is really perfect for chilling out! The staff is friendly and responsive to every need. This my favorite Florida escape. The hotel is nearby historic Hyde Park shops and near excellent restaurants, like renowned Bern's Steak House. While I did not eat at the hotel, I understand from friends that their restaurants are excellent. « less
