- My fiance and I stayed here one night as we live in the area and were having some work done on our home and needed a place to stay for the night. I choose this hotel because it was one of the few hotels in the area that allowed me to bring my two dogs and did not charge a large fee for pets. The room was great, although it was a little dirty, the kitchen counter looked as if it had not been cleaned off and there was a stain on the sofa. since we were only there for one night it was not that big of a deal. I also liked that it had a kitchen area in the room. Overall, it was quiet and everything was in working order. It is not in the best area of town, and one of the exits on the side of the hotel did not lock, even though there was a sign posted stating that the door was locked and you needed to use your room key to open it. So, that was a little concerning. However, it met my needs for the night and I would probably stay there again if I had to just because I can bring my dogs. « less

- We stayed in this hotel while we were attending a hockey tournament in the area. We have stayed in many other Residence Inns in the past, and this one wasn't quite what we are used to. The room was much smaller than most. We had a one bedroom suite, and it was somewhat annoying that my son could change the channels in the bedroom with his remote in the common room- that's how small it was!
Other than that- the breakfast was only okay- we've definitely had better. Seats in the eating area are hard as rocks.
The front desk staff was awesome- helping us find our way around and recommending things for us to do. The pool area is very nice with a grill anyone can use and a sport court right next to it- making it easy for a parent to watch two or more kids doing several activities. « less

- I spent 2 months at this hotel. Everything about the suite is superb, the kitchenette and refrigerator are a great help during an extended stay. The pool is small but functional. With the exception of the nudy bar (located across the street) there aren't very many non-fast food restaurants in the area. One important note: there is a large landfill located west of the hotel about 3 miles. In the dog days of summer with a stiff breeze that landfill gets stankin, I swear you can taste it. gross. « less

- My family and I are moving to the area, and currently waiting for our movers to get here from out of state, so we decided to stay at the Residence Inn due to convenience in location. I am actually currently sitting in my hotel room, writing this review out of frustration with the place.
Firstly, the walls in the hotel are paper thin. Every night, all night long, you can not only hear the doors in the hallways close, but feel your entire room shake. We were woken up multiple times from our headboard shaking at the slamming doors.
Secondly, the hotel is under renovations, which isn't terrible, unless you are hanging around the hotel during the day hours. Not only can you hear the people working in the main lobby, but the main lobby plays their music so incredibly loud, its all you can hear in your own suite even with the television on.
The hotel itself isn't all that bad. Our room has been pretty clean and the kitchen is sufficient for the time being. We did have patches of missing carpet in the living room, but aside from aesthetic value, it didn't bother us much. The bathroom is below average (the frame around our bathroom door on the inside is half missing, our drain is broken among a few other less slightly annoying issues). I wouldn't consider the pool area that great as its very small and has maybe 5 lounge chairs around it. Also, I haven't seen the basketball court but the tennis court is half the size of a normal court and has netting surrounding it as it boarders the parking lot. Kudos to them for trying though I suppose.
As previously mentioned, the hotel is under construction right now, which would have been nice to know before we got here. Of course they made no mention of that, but aside from the noise, it hasn't been too much of a problem. Guests do have to travel to the 2nd floor for breakfast in an empty suite, but they do offer a variety of food. My only complaint there is that every morning we have found hair in the eggs. Stick to the cereal and yogurt, and you should be fine. However, the food includes (since I've been staying here): scrambled eggs, sausage, potato bites, waffles, toast, bagels, english muffins, and 3 choices of cereal, all set up in a buffet style.
Lastly, the hotel staff at the front desk have been very accommodating thus far however, I agree with an earlier review about the cleaning ladies needing another go-around on customer service. If you're on a tight budget and can make do with some annoyances, this is an okay hotel. If you'd prefer something of better quality, I'd look elsewhere. « less
