Overview
The Edgewater Hotel faces the Main Street Square in the historic downtown district of Winter Garden, Fla. The hotel occupies the same building as a bakery, flower shop, two restaurants and a barber shop. The Edgewater Hotel is located on the famous 22-mile West Orange Trail, a scenic trail with a combination of rural and suburban scenery for walking, jogging, biking, skating and horseback riding. Lake Apopka, five blocks away, is known for its bass fishing.
Built in 1926 and restored in 2003, this hotel features the original, manually operated Otis elevator and sprinkler system installed during the original construction. Both are still in good working order. Lobbies on the first and second floors feature gleaming wood floors, oriental carpets and antique furnishings. The café offers full, complimentary breakfasts each morning. Catering services are available for meetings or other group events.
The Edgewater Hotel offers 15 individually decorated guestrooms with private bathrooms. Antique beds with country quilts add to the historic ambience of the hotel. Rooms feature hardwood floors, decorative lamps and artwork that complements the décor of the room.
