Location. The Sheraton Suites Atlanta Galleria is located in Atlanta, Ga., adjacent to the Cumberland Mall. Across the street is the Cobb Galleria Centre. The Chattahoochee River is one mile from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The Grill serves American cuisine, and Martini's Bar offers a light menu. The hotel includes an indoor/outdoor pool and a fitness center. Complimentary shuttle services are provided within three miles. A business center is on site. This is a smoke-free property.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms feature wireless Internet access for a fee. Flat-screen televisions and video game consoles are provided. Beds are dressed with 300-thread count linens. All rooms include sofa beds. Rooms include microwave ovens, refrigerators, coffeemakers and minibars. Bathrooms include bathrobes.
Expert Tip. The Georgia Aquarium, the world's largest aquarium, is 10 miles from the hotel. More than 100,000 animals are featured at the site which holds more than 8 million gallons of water.

I wish they had free internet in the rooms and parking but I still had a good stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall we had a very good 3 - day stay. « less

- My family and I are Starwood Preferred Guests so we always stay in Sheratons which we feel have a higher standard. I am a VERY picky person when it comes to hotels so I did my research here on trip advisor. The ratings were so-so but the location was perfect for us as we were traveling on 75. I bit the bullet and booked anyway using my StarPoints.....7000 of them. My first advice is to not use your StarPoints on this hotel....either get a deal and pay cash or use cash and points together. We are trying to get our points back.
Hotel has good points: Great location, inexpensive parking for Atlanta, very nice lobby and super friendly and accomodating staff.
The not so good points: It was noted as being renovated. This is misleading as the only renovated areas appeared to be the lobby, the elevators and the bathrooms. All were very nice. The Suite itself was very diappointing. The decor looks very outdated and nothing matches. The couch was stained and our bright white bedding was stained all over. We found many many hairs in the bedding as well as on the white towels in the bathroom. Not just one either. The tables were very outdated and had a think layer of dust in the trim. The carpet was dirty and looked very worn. We called down to Guest Services and they promptly moved us to another room. We checked everything over and were satisfied.....once I did my usual bed bug check and it came up clean. Phew!
For Gold Card holders please note that this hotel does not have a Club Lounge and does not offer free breakfast. I will remember to specifically ask that next time I book a room....we were disappointed as those are the perks that we pay for as Starwood Vacation Owners. However, because they could see we were disappointed they did waive our parking charge for the night and we did get a free breakfast the next morning for having to switch rooms. We appreciated that.
All in all this is not a bad hotel....just not up to the Sheraton Standards that we had set in our minds from all of our stays the past couple of years. When we drive through Atlanta again next year we will probably try one of the Westins in the area, they were just further out of our way this time. I would recommend this hotel to a friend....but not if they are using StarPoints. « less Read management response to this review.

It is difficult to get in the drive entrance to the hotel, since you must come in from only one direction. Excellent room with plenty of space. Televisions in both the sitting room and bedroom was nice. The bathroom is huge. The room was both clean and quiet. There is a charge for parking, but I have no complaints since the room rate was so reasonable. My grandson enjoyed the swimming pool. The access to the parking lot from the hotel is not the most convenient. We took the elevator down to the lobby and then had to walk outside and take an elevator up to the parking lot level we parked on. None of these negatives would keep me from staying again. We enjoyed our stay! « less

- I stayed at this hotel because it had been renovated recently - or so I thought. Other Sheraton Suites I have stayed at are very nice, but not this one. The hotel is old and my first room had a terrible smell. The second room I had also did not smell pleasant, but it wasn't as bad as the first so I lived with it. The sofa in the living area looked like it was 20 years old and the carpet, curtains, and nightstands did, too. The walls had stains on them and the wallpaper was coming off of the wall. The lamp hanging by the bed was broken - it looked like someone tried to knock it off the wall. The faucet in the shower was coming off of the wall and the towels were small and rough. The bed was uncomfortable, although the pillows were okay. To top it off the parking was $8. So overall I regret the decision to stay at this hotel because it is not what I would call renovated. « less

This hotel offers a great envirnoment, nicely appointed clean rooms, secure parking and friendly staff at budget hotel prices. Our group had no compliants during out two night stay. Kids used pool and it was at appropriate temp and clean. We were able to move freely in the hotel without any intrusion from staff..self checkout was simple and easy. Bed was clean and comfortable. Two flat screen televisions in the suites was an unexpected amenity. If i was paying 250 night i could find something to complain about but at less then 100 bucks a night for a king suite it's a "Suite Deal" « less
