- We were very pleased with the personal attention we received from Willie. He had an awesome personality and he was letting us know all of our options in Buckhead! He even walked out of his way to help us find the convenience store in the office building next to the hotel. Thanks to Willie we had a wonderful time and loved his company. « less

- I recently stayed at the W Buckhead with my boyfriend for his 31st birthday. I was running behind and didn't have time to buy him a cake (a surprise I had in mind for weeks). 15 minutes before I was due to meet him at the hotel, I called the W and David-Michael answered. He was so polite and so eager to help. He asked all the right questions (how many people, do you want 31 candles or the number 3 and the number 1, what time will you be there so we don't ruin the surprise, etc) and made it all happen! My boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel later that evening and the surprise was there and totally made the night!! On top of the great service, the room decor is great! Not as cheesy as the Midtown W. Also, a great location - central to everything! I highly recommend it! « less

- My husband and I came to Atlanta to visit some friends that live locally. We chose the W because we were planning our get away in a rush and I used travelocity to package the air/car/hotel together. The W was very reasonably priced and in a good location. When we arrived Sunday night after a very delayed flight, my husband was starving. I suggested that we just go to the W and eat there since it was already so late. I called the W to confirm that we would be able to get something to eat. They explained that the Whiskey Bar would be serving tapas until 11. We arrived at the bar only to be told at 10:01 that the kitchen was closed. After much back and forth, they agreed that we could order room service and have it delivered to the bar. We had to be involved in why and that the front desk shouldn't have told us that we could get food, and that they are managed by a different company and that they are not run by the W. Blah blah blah. Not my business. There is nothing more unsettling than to learn that the people running the 4 star hotel you are staying in is dealing with managerial issues. So, here it is the morning of our departure and I called rooms service to order your typical staple. A "Continental Breakfast". , only to be told that this was not available. "Excuse me?" Yes, we are completely out of all pastrys, muffins, croissants. Hmm? I was offered an egg white omelet. We didn't want a hot breakfast, just some good old fashion muffins, and fattening pastrys to pick on while we packed up before heading to the airport. I was told that they had nothing. Someone from catering took them all. Again, not my problem. And I still find it hard to believe that they couldn't scrounge up anything to keep me quiet. It was really just the point. Time was not on my side and my husband wanted his coffey and for me to stop whining to the Whatever Whenever, Wish person on the other end of the phone. So, I ordered eggs, toast, juice and coffey for 2 people. We got one juice, one coffey cup, a piece of toast that wasn't toasted and our eggs. Or should I say my husbands eggs. He drank coffey out of the water glass from the bathroom. Always accentuate the positive. The hotel is very nice, rooms as previously mentioned by other guests are on the small side, but well appointed. The shower was strange. You had to stand in the shower in front of the shower head to turn the water on. Housekeeping did not replace the shampoo when our room was serviced. Check in was smooth and friendly. I was not however acknowledged for being an SPG Gold member. No big deal. The concierge was friendly and helpful. We made friends with the bartender Adam or Alex? He was the one the first night that I complained about not being able to get food and he solved that problem for us. Oh, rooms are very dark. My husband just removed the lamp shade to read his paper. Would I stay here again? Probably not. There are so many other options. « less

- Came into town for my best friend's wedding. We received great service from all W associates, especially concierge. Joy did an excellent job helping us feel comfortable and made sure we knew she was available. She organized car services for us for bridal luncheon and our other pre-ceremony events. Having her take care of those details helped us enjoy the day stress-free. After the wedding, we wanted to go out and she recommended Buckhead Bottle. It was exactly the type of place we were looking for. We had a great time. Thanks and we'll be seeing you again soon! « less

- I, along with my dog, Maggie, had the distinct pleasure of staying at the W Hotel (Buckhead) for two nights: August 4th and 5th. As far as the two of us are concerned, and Maggie's opinion weighs heavily with regard to what accommodations we choose, your hotel is #1 in the entire world!
The entire, and I mean entire, hotel staff was absolutely wonderful! Robert, Joy, Lisa,-Michael and Carole are just some of the wonderful people that made our stay so enjoyable. The men who worked to park the cars and assist with baggage, the kind woman who held Maggie while I got coffee -- you have the greatest staff in the entire industry! They all "adopted" my dog and treated her so kindly and well that we hated to leave!
Please thank them all for the two of us, and we shall stay no other hotel in Atlanta when we return.
Thank you so very much for such a wonderful experience.
Sincerely,
Grafton M. Biddle
I sent this email to the hotel's GM. I recommend this hotel without reservation (no pun intended), especially if you are travelling with a dog. It's the greatest! « less
