Misty Mountain Inn & Cottages

Misty Mountain Inn & Cottages is located in Blairsville, Ga., in the North Georgia Mountains. The Misty Mountain Model Railroad, said to be the largest O-gauge train display in the country, is less than one block from the property.
Misty Mountain Inn & Cottages is comprised of an old farm house, converted from an antique shop to a Victorian gingerbread structure, and six mountainside cottages. Complimentary breakfasts are served in the great room or on the porch for guests staying in the main inn. Breakfast is not included for cottage guests. Internet access is available at the main inn. The inn’s great room offers satellite television, and showcases antiques, quilts and country crafts. Pets are not allowed in the inn, but are permitted in the cottages.

The main inn features four guestrooms with private bathrooms and gas fireplaces. Select guestrooms offer balconies. The six tin-roofed cottages feature private porches with rocking chairs and charcoal barbecue grills. Cottages offer kitchens with tables for two, coffeemakers, toasters, stoves, microwave ovens and refrigerators. Wood-burning fireplaces, satellite television and VCRs are also included in the cottages. Surrounded by pine and locust trees, the Rose Cottage features Victorian décor, a raised antique brass bed and a jetted tub. The front porch of the Dogwood Cottage offers views of the garden below and the wooded mountain, and features a canopy bed. Hidden behind a stream and willow tree, the Maple Cottage boasts a jetted tub next to the four-poster bed. Daily housekeeping services are provided. Guestrooms are not suitable for children. Children are only allowed in the cottages.
