- This Hilton hotel has it all; Golf on site, Pool, hot tub, dining and at the heart of it all without the traffic to contend with. The service was exceptional, the rooms and hotel were very quiet and best of all it didn’t break my wallet. I'll be back in November. « less

- We were in the area visiting family over a long weekend. What impressed us most about this resort was the friendliness of the entire staff. Everyone made you feel at home and let you know they were always ready to assist you. The lobby was spacious and welcoming with a view of the golf course. There was a just a sense of relax and enjoy the moment -- Southern hospitality at its best! We’ll be back. « less

- I stayed at this hotel over the weekend and felt it was appropriately priced. The room was great and the staff was excellent. The night manager, Jeremy, was most helpful and considerate - helping us decide where we should eat and what we could do in the area over the weekend. I am in the customer service industry, so I really know when someone is sincere or faking it. Jeremy was a true customer service professional. He really diesplayed enormous control when these loud, drunk and rude people from a wedding party disrupted the calm of the hotel and had to be thrown out of the hotel by the police. Many people had complained about this wedding party being loud, obnoxious and out of control (roaring drunk). Jeremy assured us that everything would be taken care of and it was (even though the police had to be called). He apologized, profusely, to all of the guests who were offeneded by this group's behavior and displayed a professional demeanor that was worthy of note. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone. « less

- Myself and about 165 people attended a wedding at the Hilton in Marietta. It is a gorgeous property. However the beauty is only skin deep. The lobby smelt like mildew and the elevators smelt like urine. That in not even close to the worst of their underlying problems. After coming back from the rehearsal dinner the entire wedding party was hanging out in the hotel bar. Guss the security guard came storming in and told everyone it was last call and then at 1 am very rudely kicked everyone out. We all went up to the bride’s suite to watch a slideshow with her parents and grandfather. There was a boys baseball tournament that weekend and some noisy young boys in the hallways. Some of the guests had complained throughout the night. As we all sat down in the suite and started the slide show Guss the security guard knocked on the door and when we opened it he pushed it all the way open and told everyone they have to get out of this room and that they are evicting the people that are staying in the room. This included the Bride, Bride's mother and father and 91 year old Grandfather. I am sure we may have been loud walking into the room but the complaints they received all night were not from the 5 minutes we were in the room. It could have been handled in a much better fashion. A tip: maybe telling the room they had a complaint and the next one would require everyone to have to leave the room.
Jeremy the "nigh manager" was finally called and he was no help either. He seemed very confused and unable to make any decisions and unwilling to correct the situation. Not very professional. He did not have any business cards on him nor was he willing to give us the cards of the GM. As we were talking to Jeremy down in the lobby the Marietta Police show up because Guss called them. For what reason I still can't figure out. By now the Bride is crying and the Bride's father is very embarrassed.
Day two:
After the wedding, our overzealous security guard is working again. We have a wonderful time at the wedding and it ends around 11:45pm. Now I am not sure how many weddings get over and everyone goes to bed right away, but none of the weddings I have been to do. We all go to the bar to unwind and hang out and here comes Guss again to throw everyone out in his same poor bedside manner. He also would not let the mothers of some of the bridal party walk through the lobby because they had taken off their high heels. So everyone went into the ball room to try and find a place we can all hang out and not cause too much problems with any excessive noise. Jeremy comes down and is very upset at this point, I presume because he has been woken up from sleep again. He comes in with a contract and tells us we all need to get out of the ball room. I asked him where is it ok that we go? He says that he is leaving the room and he "suggests everyone follow him out." So we all leave the ball room and are in the lobby area next to the elevators outside the ball room. At this time the Bride and groom and most of the other party decide that they have had enough of the rude treatment and inability to provide a proper atmosphere that they go up to their rooms. Myself and about 5 other people are sitting in the lobby and Guss goes running by like there is a 4 alarm fire and then a minute later Jeremy shows up with 5 Marietta Police AGAIN! He is red faced and flustered. He starts to raise his voice and instruct the officers that he wants us removed from the property. I assume that because the police have a little bit more calmness about them and see that we are not causing any problems or destroying anything or really doing anything but sitting at a table, they ignore him and ask us to go to our rooms.
Do I think that we should have not been allowed to have that many people in one room the first night? YES. But there are way better ways to handle things. Also, they were asked to have the rooms blocked on the same floor so there wouldn't be any noise issues (did not happen).
The second night we did not do anything wrong. It all got taken way too far because Jeremy was still mad from the night before.
ALSO: We had talked to another wedding party and they had similar multiple rude run-ins with Guss the security guard. Also there was a large family reunion there that weekend and they had the same problems with Guss. So much so that one of the mothers had to be removed from the area because she was so upset with him. Also another wedding that didn't have their party there but were staying had a problem with Guss as well.
If you are considering having a party here I would look elsewhere. If you are over 65 and you go to bed before 10pm then this might be the place for you. As for large parties, they are not interested in you having a good time or experience. They will happily book your wedding and I am sure they provide you with exactly what they say they will. But after that it was nothing but problems. Very rude security and the rest of the staff were not much better.

- I was here for a business meeting, and brought the wife and kids with me. The building is beautiful and historic, and our 4th floor window had a lovely view of the golf course and distant hills. The room was clean and nice for the most part, but our bed had several hairs in it YUK!!! I called the front desk for some clean sheets, and 40 minutes later, had to go to the front desk myself and ask again! The front desk staff didn't seem overly concerned, but did pick up the radio and call someone. Finally, after almost an hour , they brought my sheets, but NO FREAKIN PILLOWCASES! HELLO PEOPLE!!! Think abou it, IF THE SHEETS HAVEN'T BEEN CHANGED, PROBABLY NEITHER HAVE THE PILLOWCASES!!! Then about midninght, a strong smell of cigarette smoke came into our room. We must have been right next door or right above a smoking room, and it was pretty nasty. One more gripe is the fact that I had to pay $10 a day for internet access. That's just stupid. Why do the cheap hotels have free internet, while the expensive ones make you pay extra?
Overall it would have been a wonderful stay if I didn't have to clean up someone elses pubic hair and breathe someone elses nastyass smoke. « less
