Overview
Location. The O’Luina is located in Kalaheo, Hawaii, on the south side of Kauai island. Perched amid hills above town and surrounded by acres of scenic rolling grassland, this villa is within two miles of shopping and restaurants, seven miles from beaches and eight miles from the popular resort town of Poipu.
Features. The O’Luina offers luxurious accommodations yet welcomes guests with the casual charm, seclusion and natural comforts that are the hallmark of island living. Originally built in Bali and shipped to Kauai, the villa has a thatched roof and a lanai that runs the length of the structure. Offering panoramic views of unspoiled scenery, the lanai also has an outdoor spa tub, shower and dining area. Other amenities include concierge, spa, tour and wedding services. The O’Luina also provides personal fitness trainers, yoga instruction and in-room massages. Due to the O’Luina’s secluded location, clothing is optional.
Guestrooms. Inside, the villa’s walls, floors and open-beamed ceilings are constructed of exotic hardwoods, which are oiled to bring out the wood’s naturally warm hues and rich textures. The interior is accented with original tribal artwork, Southeast Asian artifacts, a hand-carved canoe hanging above a doorway, beds draped with mosquito netting, antique furnishings and woven rugs. It also features a library, a two-person soaking tub made of crushed stone and laundry facilities. The fully equipped galley-style kitchen includes a coffeemaker, refrigerator and microwave oven. Personal chef services are available for guests requesting gourmet meals served in the privacy of the villa. The villa is air-conditioned and has complimentary high- speed and wireless Internet access.
