Hanalei Bay Resort

Location. Overlooking Hanalei Bay and Bali Hai Mountain, the Hanalei Bay Resort is located along Kauai's North Shore in Princeville, Hawaii. The hotel is less than two-and-one-half miles from Hanalei Valley Lookout and is six miles from Hanalei Bay.
Hotel Features. Hanalei Bay Resort's 16 three-story stucco buildings sit on 22 acres and are surrounded by championship golf courses. The Bali Hai Restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serves American cuisine and seafood dishes. Tropical drinks and local brews are offered at the Happy Talk Lounge, where Hawaiian and jazz music are performed during the evenings. Eight tennis courts, a freeform lagoon pool, a grotto-style spa tub and walking and jogging paths are located throughout the property. A complimentary shuttle to and from the Princeville Spa and Health Club, Princeville and the beach is available.

Guestrooms. Hanalei Bay Resort's air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated with Hawaiian-style tropical rattan furniture and ceiling fans. Lanais are furnished. Kitchenettes or full kitchens are included with each room. Select rooms offer views of the surrounding area. Daily housekeeping is available for a fee.

Expert Tip. I felt like I was swimming in the ocean in Hanalei Bay Resort's freeform pool. With a sandy bottom and multiple waterfalls, the only thing missing was the fish.
