Bamboo Orchid Cottage

The Bamboo Orchid Cottage is located in the village of Volcano, a vibrant arts community on Hawaii’s Big Island. This bed and breakfast is adjacent to the entrance of the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which offers hiking trails, steam vents, scenic vistas, lava tubes and two of the world’s most active volcanoes.
This art-inspired, Craftsman-style cottage is nestled in a rainforest with giant ferns and Ohia trees, and surrounded by flower gardens. Complimentary tropical, continental breakfasts are served each morning in the bed and breakfast’s sunny dining room. Complimentary soft drinks and artisan chocolates are always available. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available. The great room boasts 20-foot ceilings, a lava-rock fireplace, hardwood floors and Craftsman accents. The cottage showcases original artwork and intimate rainforest views. An outdoor hot tub on the deck overlooks the forest and gardens. Only show dogs that appear in the show in Hilo are permitted at the property.

The Bamboo Orchid Cottage offers four guestrooms with private bathrooms with complimentary spa bath products. Handcrafted artisan beds are topped with tropically themed linens. All accommodations feature fireplaces. Select units feature cable television and DVD players. The Royal Orchid Suite, tucked away from the main house, offers a private deck and a two-person jetted tub. The Enchanted Forest Room, a second floor studio separate from the main house, offers a private balcony with a bird’s-eye view of the rainforest and a refrigerator stocked with beverages.
