Captain Harris House Bed and Breakfast is located in Galena, Ill., one block from the two miles of gift, souvenir, antique, and chic apparel shops on Main Street. The Old Market House State Historic Site and Old Stockdale on the Cobblestone Street are approximately one-half mile from the bed and breakfast.
The bed and breakfast features 42 Frank Lloyd Wright leaded glass windows. Full country-style breakfasts are served every morning in the main dinning room. The signature dish is a marmalade glazed ham loaf with an oven omelet. Champagnes, wines and bouquets of flowers are available upon request for a fee. Complimentary high-speed Internet access is available in the living room. The bed and breakfast is furnished with antiques, family heirlooms, hardwood floors and stained and leaded glass windows. Pets are not allowed at this property.

The guestrooms feature private bathrooms, fireplaces, cable television, DVD players, DVD libraries and wireless Internet access. Two bottles of complimentary spring water are placed in the rooms each day. Select rooms feature refrigerators, hardwood floors and jetted tubs. The living room in the bed and breakfast’s five-room suite, Captain’s Quarters, features a fireplace, surround sound and video and DVD libraries. A balcony in the living room overlooks a two-person jetted tub in what was formerly the root cellar. The suite offers a private porch, private entrance and kitchenette with a refrigerator, coffeemaker and microwave oven.
