Hotel Josephine

The Hotel Josephine is located one block east of the historic town square in Holton, Kan., which offers a brick-lined Heritage Walk, antique shops, clothing stores, cafes and a five-and-dime store. Rafters Park is one mile away. The Banner Creek Reservoir and Prairie Lake are within five miles of the hotel.
This Victorian-style hotel has been in continuous operation since 1889. Presidents, actors, statesmen and circus performers have stayed at the hotel throughout the years. Complimentary continental breakfasts are served in the breakfast room each morning. An outdoor deck with tables and chairs, and a barbecue grill is off the breakfast room. A conference room is available for small corporate retreats. Western and Victorian styles are combined in the decor of the hotel. The lobby features a century-old Victorian couch and an antique, square, grand piano. The original guest registries, including U.S. President Grover Cleveland’s signature, are available for viewing. Pets are not allowed at the property.

Guestrooms are equipped with cable television and high-speed Internet access. All units offer private bathrooms. Rooms are decorated with antiques dating back to the hotel’s opening in 1889. All guestrooms are air conditioned. A suite with a separate sitting area is available.
