Inn at St. John

The Inn at St. John is located in the residential West End neighborhood of Portland, Maine. The inn is less than two miles from the pedestrian-friendly Old Port waterfront and arts district, which offers boutique shopping, seafood restaurants and live entertainment. The Portland Transportation Center, which houses the Amtrak Downeaster and Concord Trailways, is one mile away. The inn is three miles from the Portland International Jetport.
Originally known as the Hotel Victoria, this 100-year-old inn was built by a railroad tycoon in 1897 to accommodate arriving train passengers from Union Station one block away. The lobby/reception area showcases a photo of the grand station taken from the roof of the inn. The Inn at St. John serves complimentary continental breakfasts each morning. Complimentary cab rides from the jetport or the transportation center are provided. Concierge services, bicycle storage and complimentary newspapers are provided in the lobby/reception area.
