Overview
Location. The Deutsche Strasse (German Street) Bed and Breakfast is located in the historic district of New Ulm, Minn., overlooking the Minnesota River Valley. The inn is positioned four blocks from the city’s downtown, which contains an assortment of restaurants, specialty stores and antique shops. Flandrau State Park, located along the Cottonwood River, is one-and-one-half miles away, and offers a sand bottom swimming pool, canoeing, tubing, fishing and eight miles of hiking and cross-country skiing trails.
Features. Built in 1884, this Arts and Crafts style home features eight types of woodwork, a marble fireplace, beveled French doors and a baby grand piano. Complimentary four-course breakfasts are served each morning on the sun porch, and a complimentary glass of wine is provided upon request. The inn’s living rooms features a 55-gallon aquarium, library and board games. Pets are not allowed at this property.
