Devereaux Shields House

Location. The Devereaux Shields House is located in the historic district of Natchez, Miss. The bed and breakfast is five blocks from the Mississippi River and the 200-foot-high Natchez Bluffs, which offer stunning views of the river for several miles in both directions. The inn is less than 12 miles from the 3,400-acre Natchez State Park, offering hiking, biking, and fishing on a 230-acre lake.
Features. This property includes an 1893 Victorian main house and an 1873 Victorian cottage, both surrounded by manicured gardens showcasing Natchez crepe myrtles and camellias. Full, complimentary breakfasts are served daily in the dining area, and additional meals are provided for a fee. Complimentary wireless Internet access and a fax machine are available. The main house features characteristic Queen Anne styling, a front porch with rocking chairs and 12-foot ceilings. The cottage features a large veranda and heart pine floors.
